like the title saysMod edited:Please state a reason as well. And just like our Forum Rules say, make sure to post at least a full sentence (which shouldn't be a problem at all if you give us the reasons why you chose your game).

I'd say Ragnarok Online is the best MMORPG.

I would also Agree Ragnarok Online is the best MMOunfortunately it's kinda ruined by the Company. I use to play but the game was completely ruined for me by the lack of responsibility Gravity took to keep the game fun. If you look back at the history of International Ragnarok Online you see that North America gets the short end of the stick when it comes to updates and Security.when I say say Gravity has security problems I'm referring to the fact that the list of of usernames and passwords were spread on the net by hackers.and the fact that the a hacker came online b4 to greet every...so in otherwords they had GM capabilities

Eh, Ragnarok Online is good, but only if you're playing it on a private server. It's in no way worth paying for if you ask me. There's nothing to do in it but kill monsters, really. Sure there are some very bad item quests, a broken pvp system and an okay-ish seige system, but it's just not enough.Personally, the best MMORPG I've played so far is Lineage 2, but I think that's just because I'm in an awesome clan that some RL friends I know are in. It's kind of an interesting situation in that if you're trying to go all-out solo in the game then chances are you'll come to hate it(partially due to the grind, and partially due to all the griefing that goes on in the low-level areas). But, if you make some friends, get into a nice guild, etc then chances are you'll have a blast. The only real downside is that a few of the servers are a little on the unstable side(the one I play on has frequent cases of item lag. Not usually too horribly bad, but it gets really annoying at times), and the dev team is only slightly better than Gravity. So long as one can see through these faults though, the game IS very enjoyable.

FFXI might cost almost the same but the problem is that you have to buy the game then you pay monthly after you 30days trial.

Yeah FF XI is a 30 day trail then you pay... *looks* 13 bucks a month or something for 2 characters total on FF XI and not Tetra Master. I've been browsing around and spotted the game of choice for me... Guild Wars. Looks to be pretty cool and is free to play and there isn't any levelling per sea of any kind in it.I'll see if I can dig up a web addy later for it :)

I've played plenty, and some have their plusses, but WOW is definately the most balanced of the genre. Blizzard is doing a great job in updating and adding new material. Probably better than most of the others.Star Wars Galaxies started off well, but I think the flight sim addition, while a welcome one, didn't do it for me. The expansions were nice, but it just seemed like the same old, same old.Matrix was a great concept, but the execution was not too great. City of Heroes is probably second to WOW in fun factor. The create a character has to be the best in the genre, and the level of powers is staggering. I may get back into the game whenever I decide to pick up City of Villians.Asheron's Call is old school and still fun.

I"ve played a number of mmorpgs over the years, but the only one that kept me interested throughout the years was Everquest. Yes I admit it, though I don't play it anymore I had the most memorable experiences in the game. That and I kept up the mind knumbing leveling for some odd 5ish years or so. Oh well, memories...

CoV or CoH Definately. The way you can customize your toon is awesome. Everyone is different and teaming is really fun. I haven't tried PvPing on it yet, but I hear from a friend that its great. The updates may be a pain sometimes but they're definately worth it. The constant additions in each update makes this game renew its replay value.
