hands down SOTNi remember playing it back in the day and i was amazed, also remember playing the original castlevania for the NES when i was a kid, IT WAS HARD AS HELL!!!!

any catlevania game im gald some people know about it most people dont know about castlevania i love all the games especially the n64 one and gba and ds but i bet a new one would be best!

Me favorite is Rondo of Blood for the TGCD. Symphony of the Night is a close second, but lacks challenge and great anime scenes (like Rondo of Blood has).

Symphony of the Night is my favorite. It was perfect in so many ways . . . the voice-acting, not so much, but the gameplay was fantastic.

I would have to say the new dawn of sorrow is my favorite now, although dracula doesnt appear anywhere in it...... actually i think i really gotta go with super castlevania 4, gotta love that old school MODE 7!!!!

Symphony of the Night, hands down!It's the best Castlevania game for me because it had so much replay value.

I played castlevania III (i think) on the original nintendo (8bit). I remember being very excited when I came eye to eye with dracula. I had 100+ lives to finish the game (and I did). So, based on this memory, I should say that III is my favourite Castlevania. I've been playing Castlevania on DS, but somehow it does not seem as interesting as it used to be. Maybe I got to old ;'(

I played the very first Castlevania game before it was called Castlevania, it used te be called Vampire Killer before it came to the NES.but SoTN is my favourite, the complete package

My favorite castlevania is the castlevania 3 for the NES. It was the first one I ever played, and maybe I got blinded by nonstalgia. But level design, it trumps all the other castlevanias. In addition, the branching paths were an awsome addition, multiple playable characters, and just all around top notch.Sympathy of the Night is a close second however.

yep. sotn tops the monarchy. great soundtracks and amazing graphics is enough to explain it. What's more, it's in 2d. I don't like those 3d castlevania like lament of innocence. It looks just like devil may cry.

Castlevania 4 and SOTN are by far the best two Castlevania games ever.You can't beat the gameplay and the music soundtrack for both games. I wish they would make another SOTN like game feating Alucard again.

I've only played two Castlevania game, Circle of the Moon and Aria of Sorrow. I like Aria of Sorrow more cause the storyline was greater and the various weapon that I can used (not just whip), not to mention the collecting spirits and gaining their power, sweet.

Castlevania Legends. That remake is FUUUUUUUUN...I also like Rondo of Blood because you can play as Maria.We need more castlevania games with female characters.

Aria of Sorrow, it pwns. Not only do you get to get to aim a kickass Positron Rifle at monsters, but you also steal their abilities.

Dracula's Curse was castlevania 3my fav is aria of sorrow for gba (until i get dawn of sorrow for the ds)

Symphony of the Night, but I have not played all of them. I've played that one, CotM, and HoD. I'm working on AoS and DoS. The Metroid-like Castlevanias are the most fun in my opinion, which is what SotN is.
