I have been reading posts on this site about Enter the Matrix, and I'm noticing some hostility. I personally enjoyed the games, despite its flaws. It was, at the time, the only way to actually feel like you were in the matrix. anywway, I want to find some others that enjoyed the game. COME ON! STAND OUT! let me hear some pro enter the matrix comments.

It's not the best game put out, and I'm thinking the new Matrix with Neo will be much better by comparison. I just think the hype was way too much for the game to actually deliver.I was expecting a vast Matrix experience with great gameplay and a superb story, but instead, it gave decent mechanics, and a subpar story.Probably would have been much better without all the hype.

the problem with enter the matrix was that it was so one-dimensional. past a certain point, all the missions got incredibly repetitive and boring, and there was very little scope for anything that deviated from a set (and quite boring) storyline.i wish i'd blown my hundred on something with a bit more lastability and just rented this, because that's all it was really worth. i never play it any more.

The game recieved too much hype, was clearly sub-standard and just didn't have any polish.

Gameplay.I'll be honest, I went straight to hard mode. I figured I could always go back and do normal if I couldn't handle it. Hard is challenging and forces you to actually make use of most of the elements of the game to be successful. After grinding through the first few missions, I mainly focused on developing my techniques and learning the system. Surprisingly, the implementation comes off as being fairly deep, which allows you to feel good about taking out a room of people with automatic guns. You need to manage your focus bar which isn't a bad thing... because it forces you to work with the system and not just find a cheap way to fight. Once you have it down, you'll quite merrily whistle as you ooze with style between the enemies.... smashing anyone foolish enough to attack you. I had a Matrix moment where I took all the enemies out by the pillars of the post office. Once done, I surveyed the area and was quite giddy to see how the place had been ripped up rampaging through the scene. It is a nice feeling to be sure.Graphics.I gave the graphics a 9. While the texture system is fairly simplistic, the overall ambience and new take on combat deserves recognition in my opinion. Their attempt is a solid one and comes off nearly perfectly, with moments of "That didn't look quite right." However, it's nice to see a game actually attempts to make combat look correct, with things like localized blocking. Example, a person punches for your head, you could lean away from the punch, or raise an arm actually blocking the swing. It all adds to the experience. Also, the models are very nicely done, especially with the player models which receive some noticible extra attention... enough so that you never for a second think "Who is that?" It's obvious who it is... because well... it looks just like them.Sound.I gave this a 9. I'm not worrying about all the dynamics of if it's 5.1 bla bla... to be honest at the end of the day... do you feel like you're there and do you feel immersed. Except for the extremely loud car... the music is great... the sound effects are great and satisfying in a very true to Matrix delivery. The game supports in-game digital and therefore it's very crisp and satisfying.Value.A definite 10. Offering a slew of things I don't want to mention as to not spoil it for you guys who are reading this to find out if you should buy it... but the amount of goodies you get from hacking (and I'm not talking about the unsatisfying type of goodies either... like concept art... which while neat... won't send many into girly giggles). These are REAL bonuses... the kind that when you earn them you will literally say outloud "COOL!" Not to mention the tons of film footage you get, oozing out all the extra info about the Matrix plot that you just didn't know going in. You can't beat that.I put a high reviewers tilt on here to give justice to the fact that this game truly is attempting something that other games have not to this point. If a trend like this could start, the future for movie games would indeed be bright. I tip my hat to what they attempt, and any fan of the Matrix will be very satisfied by this game.If a gamespot guy were to review this, you may find most of the 9's turning to 8's and the 10's turning to a 9's. However, at a bare minimum I want to throw off the silly graders afterall. But for my buck, this game delivers... and if I was given the chance to play another I would happily place a preorder for it.

I liked the game, it was the first Matrix game, and it was very great, I mean, it was a part of the movie, well actually a part we dont see in the movie. The thing is that I enjoyed playing it.

I liked the game. I don't know why so many people have such hatred towards it who have never played it.

Not much too the game, but I still must have played through it like 10 times. For some reason all the problems you have with it melt away when you wall kick someone! :wtf:

I liked Enter the Matrixthe bad thing was that you don't get to be Neo but in the new game you can.It was a good game when it was first released and then after a while it got boring.the graphics are heaps good but the game just got boring after a while. My favourite part of the game is when i was INVINCIBLE and i kicked the Agent Smith's BUTT!!!OH YEAH!!! B)And another thing...I didn't like it how it left the game on a cliff hanger.thats what pised me off bout the game.but otherwise it was good.KICKIN' AGENT SMITH'S BUTT!!!OH YEAH!!! B)

It was alright but what made me mad was where u cant kill the agents -_- i mean i whoop them in combat and right before u can kill them BAM stops u and u cant kill them and how do they dodge a shot gun, but besides that its a nice game. I liked the hacking feature tho for the codes :P
