I'm afraid im agreeing with sephiroth, though i can understand he's somewhat overrated he is still my favourite. first of all he looks damned cool. secondly he has a coldness to him that none of the others did. all the villains from FF seemed to feel emotion at some point, anger, hate, pain at being whooped into the ground. but aside from laughing at cloud after killing aeris. he doesn't really show emotion. and he also has high ambitions. most villains want to defeat the good guys and rule the world. sephi wants to become a GOD and rule the world. thats ambitious that is. but yea. hes my fav

I agree with you completly on that. Remember also what set him into that state in the first place. He spent his whole life working for shinra. He always knew he was different and had even been told his mothers name but was never told the truth about himself or his origins. he just believed whatever they told him. Then finds out his mother is locked away in some mountain like he did. So he researched her and comes to believe she was an ancient and well everyone though the ancients were better then everyone else. So now look at all he has discovered. The weight of all this information and not to mention finding out what was done to him caused him to snap. He set fire to cloud's village and then went after his mother. Now over the years he spent with Jenova allowed Jenova to warp his mind even further. When Shinra got ahold of Jenova again I do not know but I do not think they had her long though. Now I want everyone to remember how Jenova was able to Manipulate Cloud. Now just imagine how much control she would have over Sephiroth himself. If you think about it Sephiroth has the saddest story of them all. To say he is the greatest bad guy is safe to say but you can not help to feel sorry for him.
