Yes! Roy and Marth are indeed the best characters.I liked Melee a LOT better because it superior in all aspects. The maps were bigger and more detailed. Also, the graphics are superior. There's over 10 new characters and better Pokeball selections. There are better items and well.. Everything is better.I loved the GCN version so much better! IT'S GOT ROY!<3And SSBM is better in everything else.

I think Melee was a great improvemnet to Smash Bros. I luv the new caractors! BOWSER WOOT!!! and Gandalf!

Melee is better but the N64 version is a more cartoony style, which I'm use to but Melee is just a better game. But imagine what Brawl will be like. I can just hear a guy screaming "BRAWL!" already.

Melee is better because there are few cheeper movesI've played both of these games, and I have to say I like the N64 version much better. Granted, I have the N64 version and only play Melee and friends' houses, but here are the things I like about the older version. You have to work to use smash attacks, the directional tap and A, rather than just tapping the analog stick, which can get pretty cheap. Also, there is more time in the air to use aerial attacks, because in Melee, the falling is more realistic, with acceleration as you fall towards the ground. Any other thoughts?

Thats probably me you can hear.Melee is better but the N64 version is a more cartoony style, which I'm use to but Melee is just a better game. But imagine what Brawl will be like. I can just hear a guy screaming "BRAWL!" already.
Melee is definitely better than the 64 version, I prefer the controls too, dunno why...just seems more natural.

I prefer Melee, in sense the game physics felt better, and that DK, Yoshi, and Kirby couldn't knock you down with one blow.

the original is great but with shear content alone melee is so much better, more characters, levels trophies events adventure, all-star etc. theres so much to do!

Melee is much better than the N64 version of super smash brothers. (More Characters, More Stages, More Items, Better Gameplay)

Melee is much better in graphics, game fighting,, and just more clear to see. But they was both very well done games.

umm, yeh i would say that melee is better because you can get more characters (25 instead of 12) and more arenas (around 30 instead of 9). and because mr game and watch is in melee.MR GAME AND WATCH FOR THE WIN!!!

MELEE!! N64 Version was fun (I thought) UNTIL I tried Gamecube version. Now N64 is crappy.

I like melee a lot more the fighting is more fun and the characters are better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
