Super smash bros melee is better than smash N64 because first of all .. more characters (its the most important thing in a fighting game ** thats my opinion**) second, more stages and new modes... and i agree that Smash N64 is a nice game , but if you look carefully you will see that Melee have much better graphics than N64 ^^ (no offence)

Melee is much better. It's faster, more realistic, there's alot more stuff to do and that's that.

I've played both of these games, and I have to say I like the N64 version much better. Granted, I have the N64 version and only play Melee and friends' houses, but here are the things I like about the older version. You have to work to use smash attacks, the directional tap and A, rather than just tapping the analog stick, which can get pretty cheap. Also, there is more time in the air to use aerial attacks, because in Melee, the falling is more realistic, with acceleration as you fall towards the ground. Any other thoughts?

I think that N64 is an all round better game, although melee has some better qualities. i just like n64 because it's simple, fun, and addicting.

Each their own opinions... but I liked Melee... probably because I am super cheap in it ;d (Got it? Super as in super attacks with the analog stick... meh, don't tell me it's not puny at all :))

Both of these are really great games, but if i had to pick one it would be the n64 version. i dunno exactly what it is, maybe the cartoony sounds, the blocky characters, or the unreal physics, but i just like the n64 version better. however, that's saying a lot cause i love both these games!

Uhh u do know that infamous means the opposite of famous?

I find Melee to be a better game just because of the sheer number of events there are in it , the N64 version you can complete in about 3-4 days with every char but melee theres always another necord to break or another person to kill.

The melee is better in much ways, like the graphics and the scenes, the powers, the characters, well the "new" ones, the scenarios are awesome, like the castle or the Fox Spaceship, is cooler
