melee has more charatcers and the moves actually take time to performthere is more of a balance

Mele by far.. the first Super Smash was very very good and amusing, but Melee is more fun in party play.. and me and my friends just punch someone on his arm who uses the c-stick smash.. it's a part of the game.. but it's for nubs who can't properly smash!

Smash Bros>MeleeIt was classic, the new one stressed serious competition of good time fun. I didn't like that. I'm no noob, I enjoy a good competition, but I felt that when I played with my friends they got a little more angry and upset, more than when we pulled out the orginal.... I say the original is a better nintendo version of franchise fighting games. I remember always fighting mey friend as Mario and he would be Link. "Let'sa see who's the true franchise!"Heck even the orignal commercial was better!

SSBM is much better because of the graphics and more available characters.Also you could collect trophies and even play in special modes like Giant or Small Melee, and even Super Sudden Death.

Melee by far! The dodging is just too good. When I play the old one I keep trying to dodge the my dismay when my charater goes flying

In my opinon I think Super Smash Bros. Melle is better because there are more characters to choose from.

both are erally good, but meele is better, the graphics, the controls are better, also the characters looks more coolers, so Meele get my vote

melee should be better since theres more attacks and counters, but i found the original to be easier

Melee is better, but there's something about Smash Bros. 64... It feels tighter, graphically and control-wise.

's all about Melee. I mean, the single player mode sucks in the N64 SSB, while SSBM has many modes of play for single players.

Well I know that I LOVED the nintendo 64 version of smash bros. and I know that There are tons of people that will say that it was better than the second. But lets face it ladies and gentleman...Melee was an improvement on the first. Both were amazing games...and I cant wait for the new one to come out on revolution.
