Come on now you can't go wrong with the cube's version it is almost fawless and has tons of unlockables it is just that fun and great to play. The Cube's version is far better.

I've only really got to play SSM, but it still is awesome. Also, any games on the 64, while they may have had good gameplay, many features and graphics on the gamecube were advanced quite a bit. From a current Nintendo loyalist standpoint...any game Nintendo creates has to be good in some way no matter how small.

I have to say that I enjoy Melee better than the original because of the greater choice in everything, be it characters, stages, items... what have you.

I think that melee is the better game, though I actually prefer playing the original, simply because of nostalgia value. But it doesn't really matter they're both great.

Melee is more balanced, has better controls, better moves, and higher levels of skill.

MeleeI've played both of em for long times, and i think melee is greater cause (like every1 said before), better graphics, faster gameplay, lots of characters and game modes.

Both are fantastic games. I think it is unfair to compare them since they came from different generations. You cant really compare game cube games with their discs with 64s 64 bit cartriges. When the 64 version was out, I played it all the tiem, when melee came out I switched to that. And when the revolution's version comes out, I will play that.

Melee. I don't know where I would be now without the new characters for me to beat my friends with.

Melee is the best (even though I still have the N64 version) I just love the new characters that they add to the series

"A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path, he will then have to choose. The boy doesn't always know. At some point, the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness forever will accompany this. He is confronted with a choice. When this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy. The boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said. A boy has the right to dream. For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him. We must remember. All men were once boys."

Melee for me - it's got so much more gameplay in it. Loads of great little extras like the toys collections
