I've been an RPG player my whole life :] However, when games like Fire Emblem combine strategy with RPG elements, the result is NEVER bad.

Both of them... Also, I'd say that the game in which you can find both rpg and strategy is Fire Emblem.

RPGs. I can't stand Strategy games. More specifically, I love Action-RPGs. The whole, turn-based thing is getting old. Give me Phantasy Star Online, Monster Hunter, Sword of Mana, Kingdom Hearts any day of the week! By the way, I know it's off topic, but here's some recommended games for those interested in the genre:Monster Hunter (PS2)Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II (GameCube, XBOX, PC)Kingdom Hearts (PS2)Sword of Mana (GBA)Secret of Mana (SNES)Digimon World 4 (PS2, XBOX, GameCube?)Samurai Warriors (XBOX, PS2, GameCube?)Drakengard (PS2)Dynasty Warriors (Any of them) (PS2, XBOX, GameCube)Chaos Legion (PS2)Shining Soul I and II (GBA)Shining Force Neo (PS2)

to me RPGstrategy games are too easily broken i.e. advanced wars dual strike was a piece of cake; although golden sun wasn't too difficult either...
