They're both pretty equal for me, but I think strategy is better to me just slightly. Mainly because most strategy games come with map editors, which is pretty fun...

I personally prefer both of them over any other genre. ;)I couldn't even chose between RPGs or Strategies, it all depends on my mood. If I'm in an awake / alert mood, probably strategy. But if I'm in a more laid-back mood, RPGs.Now... Strategic RPGs, or RPG Strategies... Those just rock. =D

thats not a strategic RPG, unless you count every game as a strategic RPG. FFTA is a large budget, good designers and horrible storywriters.

I think somebody forgot to take the FFTA Enchancement Medication. You know, those little patches of LSD that come with the game to make it better. SquareEnix told me to do it. It wasn't MY fault!

RPG atm because they have already mastered that like 20 years ago. STY is pretty new for the boys, so only a handfull are good ones.

RPG's are my favorite. I prefer the turn-based battle system RPGs because it gives me time to consider my moves and also because I'm not much of a button cruncher so I can't do all those spiffy combos and all. As for strategy, I don't like having to waste turns moving my characters around, I fight in a very agressive and dominant fashion so to me, wasting turns moving around is like making a football star play with crutches.

I like them both. Strategy games, you got Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, and FFTA. RPGs, you got Golden Sun, Mario and Luigi, Final Fantasy 1, 2, and 4. Stellar line-up of each. That's why GBA still kicks the most donkey.

Hmm... there is only one way to consider this argument...Would I prefer a pure RPG, or a pure STY?Granted, if I'm just going to move around soldiers on the field for no apparent reason, that strategy game will bore me pretty quickly. So I'd go wtih RPG, for anything that follows a story plot and you control a person/group that navigates this story pretty much falls into the RPG category, nevermind how it's presented.Take Warcraft 3. It's Strategy, but the story part is has RPG elements as well.

I enjoy a good RPG a bit more than a strategy game.

If you have RPGs, add a RPGto your response. If you like Strategy, add a STY to your response. If you like Strategy RPGs, add a :P to your response. :P

:P you cant really have a rpg game without strategy :P but you CAN have a strategy without it being a rpg weird huh but yea final fantasy > all ;d
