Im drawn here Like both but I think RPGs are better because something about freezing a computer in an RTS cuz you have so many units just feels kinda cheap to me, could I win with half that? yes. is it as cool? noIm drawn here Like both but I think RPGs are better because something about freezing a computer in an RTS cuz you have so many units just feels kinda cheap to me, could I win with half that? yes. is it as cool? no

I'd definitely would go with RPG, but strictly the RPGs who have a 90's gameplay style: turn battling, epic storylines, hp, mp and sp statistics, magic all around and etc.Try to get me :( I was born in 1984, so in my life's flower I played nothing but these types of RPG, with stunning titles like breath of fire (my fav RPG saga), Chrono Trigger (all time classic), FF VI (the best FF IMO) and I could go on... these "new-generation real time RPG" and "MMORPG" kind of stuff just bores me -_-''

Frankly, I have to say that it's really turn-based strategy that wins my vote over all others. The games usually allow for freer play then RPGs, for the simple fact that they all boil down to chess. RPGs are too focused in terms of play, because they're based on Gygaxian rules of RPGs. There is only one key, to one door, 95% of the time. I understand why, but I very rarely connect to characters in an RPG because they're not my characters. D&D's Eye of the Beholder series was one of very few game series that embodied an effective dungeon crawl feeling while also making the characters yours. Yes, there's one door, and one key, and one nook, and just one spare dagger. But there were no bones made about the idea of the story in Faerun. Yes, you knew where you were. And you still know what part of the campaign you're in based on the level. But the problem is that I understand the need for Crisis Core, Advent Children, and X-2. I want something else from Final Fantasy 6. I want to see Squall rock the Leonheart again. But, I know I won't, because it's FF. And part of my problem is putting such time into a game, 40+ hours, and what do I get in return? Heartache. Questions without answers. In any good strategy game, the end of the campaign is simple: You win. You rule the world/galaxy/universe/etc. That's why I don't like RPGs as much anymore.

Strategy RPGs, because they are so unique and usually have more replay value.

Strategy RPG, mostly because of Disgaea and Final Fantasy Tactics and being the only ones that seem to provide more interactiveness.
