Well in my opinion, RPG's are Strategys haha. But not getting technical, I think if I would have to choose between the two I would have to stick with RPGs. -Ostil-

RPG or STY? I like strategy because it is mind boggling to get to a very high level. RPG is a great story to play through of a person or creature's life! I'll go with RPG though. I love stories.

I grew up on RPG's, so I have to say that those are my favorite. But I LOVE Final fantasy Tactics, which was a strategy based game, so strategy's come in close second. (though I'm too chicken to play strategies like Starcraft/Warcraft because their fast paced. I'm old school and enjoy turn-based, thank you.)

Strategy RPGs for sure, they're great on storyline and the gameplay is much more epic. I think it combines the best of both worlds.

I really like them both but i am in a habit of picking up stategy games with a bad story lines so at the moment im into RPG hardcore

Depends on what kind of RPG we're talking about. If it's a JRPG, no. I've grown to dislike most of them.So, if it's a choice between a wRPG and a strategy game, I'd go with the RPG. Because I suck at strategy games. D:

i enjoy both, although i have played more RPGs than strategy, but I prefer more strategy than RPG, so i'm leaning towards Strategy.

I go with both. I've played 10 tons of Strategy games, but I eventually get tired of them at some point, an dhave to go over to RPG gaming, and playing MMORPGs.

I think RPG's are better because the plot slowly thickens and it gets more and more interesting.

RPGs are better because you have a connection to the character. It seems to me like the most important aspect in gaming sometimes.

i play both- so it is a hard toss-up for me.i suppose in this case- you would want to give a choice of games for me to make a decision.for example: i will take Final Fantasy over Starcrafthowever- that being said- i will spend more time playing Command & Conquer than i will Phantasy star universe.so it kinda makes it a lil hard for me to decide

Well I like them both... I absolutely loved the advance wars, but I also liked the Golden Sun games on the GBA (anyone remember them? Those were the days... If you got the chance, go and download them. It'll be worthwhile). I spent hours playing silly pokémon games (I think they qualify as a RPG), I loved the Fire Emblem series on the GBA (they just unleashed an english version, Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, I'm gonna love playing that). Both have their upsides and downsides. Usually RPGs have a mode solid story, but strategy IMHO has a much nicer gameplay. If I were forced to choose, I'd choose strategy. But I'd play a good RPG any day.

I like both it depends on the story if its good or not if it has a bad story i wont want to play it unless its really funFire emblem games rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like both strategy and rpg (if the story is good) games though i find myself choosing to play rpgs more than strategy. The solution: Valkyria, a third person shooter, rpg strategy game.
