That's extremely hard to compare. I love both genres and there is no way for me to put one over the other because of how different they are.

Don't get me wrong, I loved MK when it came out and bought the re-releases, etc. but in an RPG you can beat, disfigure, maim, and bloody all you want while still having the ability to do other stuff like cast spells or complete a storyline.So yeah, RPG is way better!

An RPG is the pick, because sure sometime, and i stress sometimes, you need to have a bit of skill to be particularly good at fighting games, but then you sit around and wonder why you are bored after doing the same fights over and over again in the same stages...rpg's give you a whole new world to look at(however i will nudge for Dissidia because....welll.....come on)

I'm far more into role-playing games than I am into fighters.Don't get me wrong, though - I love a good fighter game. I've even played and enjoyed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2D fighter they had.

it depends on which type of RPG turn based or action RPG. fighting is better that turn based but action RPG is the best of all

It really depends on the situation I guess. RPGs for if you're playing solo. If you've got groups of friends though, fighting.

RPG's are great to play over extended period of times. Fighting for quick pick ups or parties.

R.P.G those games keep me bussy the most but it has to be a good RPG like final fantasy, but a good fighting game isnt bad either, dragonball z fighting games and soul caliber games are awsome

I've never been a fan of fighting games. Not even street fighter.....theres quite a few impressive RPG games. But then again RPG is defined differently. I think these RPG games are the best. Pokemon series, Dark Messiah and Oblivion. FarCry 2 and Bioshock if they can be considered RPG.
