The guy who beats you in fighting games with monstrous attacks and strategies is a necessary albeit frustrating enemy. He/she is the enemy that prevents the above train of thought.

rpgs are overall more fun, fighting games are cool but i dont really like them if i dont have someone else to play them with

Rpgs.They are more fun in my oppinion and they get you into the story.Most fighting games dont even have a storyline

That's what I love about fighting games. The story is researched by you by visiting fan sites like Fighter Mania or reading story FAQs at www.gamefaqs.com The more you get into it the more canon information you acquire.

Ironically these are my two favorite genre's, if you play by yourself alot, go with RPG's if you play alot with others, fighting games, that's how I spread out those two.

I prefer games that require multiple players to be fun, which are usually fighting games, because I like being social, and not sit inside all day and play games alone. Hence playing RPGs my whole life will make me die a virgin.

Normally, I'd say RPGs hands down. However, with action-rpgs you have the best of both worlds! Or, if you want to get even more technical, there are a few games that combine the two genres. Take the Bouncer (Squaresoft) for example.
