yeah...which PS2 do u ppl think better? the old chunky one or the new and slim one? throw out your opinion about it!personally, i choose the old one, because it has the back fan which keeps the PS2 runs longer (ie. cooling down) where as the new one doesn't seem to have any.

I think the slim one looks very nice. And sure it gets warm, but I've never had a problem with it overheating.

I didn't know that the slim one had such problems, I guess I'll stick to the old one.

woah, totally didn't know the new one didn't have a fan-- but I don't think I need one anyway, I don't play that much. (yes, I have the new one) But really--- it's so pretty looking, it's like my little baby. I actually cuddled it when I got it ... only the PS3 is coming out now. *shakes fist* Daammmmn youuuuuuu.

I have a slim one, it rocks, its small. portable, and much more reliable than the old dinosaur. Although my ps2 only plays sonic mega collection, ddr and snk. and an ocational gta or firewarrior.

I've got one of each and I have never had a problem with the slim one overheating. I persoanlly like the slim one much better because you don't have to turn a little switch in the back of the PS2, and THEN hit the reset button just to turn it on. One button in the front. I know it sounds like a little thing, but it's a nuisence when I can just hit the power switch on my game cube :D

oh yeah, i totally forgot about the hold switch in back trick. although you could have left it on, but then ur ps2 just gets hot. cause when you hold the restart for a certain time then it turns off.

Old , the slim might be sexy but the flaw , the heat. Prevents me from playing challenges which you gotta complete without switching off it

Of coz the new 1. Slim and portable. It gets heated up like what? 6 7 hours after play? But you dunt have to wait for it to cool down to play again. The slim also have an internal mordem build in so you dont have to buy a new one.

I prefer the old because I'm one of the few people who got the "HDD" for it. Damn Sony for pulling support!
