I prefer the original. The Slimline doesn't have the cooling fan, sure it may be easier to carry but also you can't install a HDD as where the Original has the cooling fan and you can put in a Hard Drive preferrably Samsung in my opinion the Western Digital won't fit.

Yeah... Really the PS2 isn't meant to be a gameboy... I don't know why someone would need to carry it around so much. Otherwise the gameplay is almost the same so who even cares?

I dont care either way to be honest, i have a slim cause thats what they had at the time, some of the first models of the orginal ps2 were faulty as hell, died after a year. Least the slim when it had a problem it sent out a recal of the ps2 adapter and would replace them for free.

I have both. I use the slimline one because I don't have that much space in my bedroom.

Slimline for sure, it's smaller, looks better, it's not so heavy and it has an online capability without any internet adapter or something like that.

I have the slimline model but only because my regular one got destroyed by my youngest brother. Honestly though, I don't think it really matters, they both work. :D

I prefer the original only because I bought it first and I'm too lazy to work to buy a slimline. I don't mind taking around a normal PS2 anyway.Slimline is pretty much meant to save space. Mainly for people who take it around alot.

The old PS2 break down after about 2 years, the good thing about them though is you can get a slide card for them and play imported games like Naruto.

Slimline plays damaged discs better... so i have to say slimline cause i'm an old games collector... and some old ps1 games can be found only used and not in so good shape...

I prefer being able to use the HDD, so I like the old PS2 better. Though I understand you can get a USB HDD for the slimline. Once I find out more info on this my opinion might change since I like the look of the slimline better.

I think the original is just fine and it isn't worth getting the slimline with the PS3 coming out soon.
