For the PS2, I have to say the Silent Hill series. The Resident Evil games havn't really "hooked" me that much since ye olde PS1 days.

Silent Hill 2. I have never seen a more horrifying story in a videogame. SH2 was scary, not so much through visuals, but through characterization. Terrifying...

The only two games I can think about would Resident Evil and Silent Hill. I think those are good horror games.

Resident Evil 4 even tho it's been released on the NGC first. Easily one of the best games of the year.

I said Silent Hill. It creeped me out just a bit more than RE. I did like RE quite a bit, though. They're both great games!

I can't comment on Fatal Frame as I have never played them. I think the Resident Evil series is the best as I enjoyed them better than Silent Hill.

Silent Hill will always have a special place in my heart, with another great horror game: Clock Tower. No, not those crappy games for the PSX. The best game of the series is the first, for the SNES.

Well that depends on what you mean by 'best'. If scariest, then Silent Hill hands down. I hate Jap horror (long haired girls who pop out from ceilings and walls just don't scare me), and Resident Evil is action, gore type horror, which makes you jump once in a while, but is hardly what you'd call 'freak you out' scary. But if you're talking GAMEPLAY, then SH is in trouble, because Resident Evil 4, particularly is a lot more 'fun' to play.

Fatal Frame for the win! It's the only series based on a concept that many people actually believe in(haunted houses, ghosts). Nobody believes in zombies(unless they've been to my college and seen some of the employees in the cafeteria).
