Resident Evil is really a good series, the first one is a bit scary and the others arn't that scary but they're all extremely fun to play more than once.

The best horor game would have to be resident evil, it has many more fans and is an ongoing series that continues to keep you from playing @ night.

its actually a pretty hard choice between silent hill and resident evil because, resident evil is a classic horror game, that you go around killing zombies, and biological deformed monsters caused by umbrella corp. but from my point of view if you are talking about true horror i have to go with silent hill ive played all 4 games and the game is really psychocagolical, im not tying to sound all scientific and stuff but the game really gets to your head because, monsters pop out of nowhere for no reason and items come up from a place that nothing have been there before, of course if anybody doesnt agree with me, go to wikipedia or fan sites. so i think that silent hill is a great horror game that is made to scare you and actually make you think on what to do. resident evil just been around longer and is a great classic

Wow that's a hard one for me actually I think they're all pretty creepy and good series. Also Silent Hill 2 did hit number 1 scarest game of the year last year on Attack of The Show.

Resident Evil now sucks, it's not the flesh eatin zombies anymore, they're like zombie warriors!!They don't eat you!! They kill you, which is one of the really depressing "new" enemies they say would be cool...And it's not scary anymore, it's more on suspense, it's now full of action and stuff, rather than the old school where you'll scream while firing....running for your life, now it's just like..."IMMA kick you now bad guy..."Now it's just playing DMC, which is not Resident evil....

i don't know. I think silent hill is the best horror series, after all it's psychological horror you know? and that's the worst horror there is! Although i have (and will always have) resident evil in my heart (as a young child that was my first survival horror... i love it) i think silent hill is better 'cause it scarier.
