if you think about though many buttons for SSBM are actually repeats like the dodging and jumping actions. the only issue i see is the lack of a joystick on the ds which may make the game a little harder to control with a d pad.it would be intersting to see how the game would be set up on such a small screen in addition to the fact that to make it a true ds game, both screens would need to be used...probably the second would be a simple map of the area i suppose.

I dont grapics or control will be a problem. If it does come to the ds i would want it to be like neo geo type graphics. and i dont think controls would be a problem. its got a 2-inch piece of liquid cristal to program coustomizeable macros into. now for the name... it would probobly be something cheezy like "Super Smash Brothers: Dual Smash" Personaly I prefer "Super Smash Bros: Deadly Strike" (SSB:DS) or "Nintendo All-star Diaronto Smash Brothers DS!!!" (NAS:DSBDS) or just keep "Nintendo Diaronto Smash" (NDS) but those puns wouldent translate internationaly... how about "Super Smash 2D"! lol! hmmm... OOOH!!!! "Super Smash Bros: DS-functional Siblings" That would be awsome.

That would be an AWESOME game! Only thing is what would we use the touch screen for? Special moves maybe?

Jump Superstars has already shown how the controls could work for this game so it definitely do-able. just hope nintendy have copped on to this gem of an idea. As for the touch screen...does it have to do anything, maybe if the touch screen was a full map of the fighting area and you could tap on a player to follow them while you play on the top screen. That'd be sweet.

SSBs would pretty sweet i think that theyd use both screens which would be pretty crappy considering that it would have a huge line missing in the middle but other than that itd be fine ^_^

Yeah, SSB for the DS. there couldn't be any better game for the DS. just imagine the possibilities. 8 players, WIFI connection, battling players around the world. I sure hope it will be a classical control. there's no need for a touchscreen in SSB, just as in mario kart.but I sure hope there won't be hypergood graphics. I would prefer some drawn 2d graphics and thereby getting more levels and characters.that would be awesomeso far, taurus

You might not be able to have all the attacks and such, what with the fact that you have no C-buttons or anything, but I think it'd be shw33t!

As a lot of people I voted double-Yes :DWe WANT it, the GC version was excellent !! I can't imagine what they could do with two screens and a digitizer input :D

See, the thing is... i don't think it would work well on a small screen like that.. and I might think about getting it.. I'll see after (IF) it comes out ... but the touchscreen... most likely useless except for maybe some minigames or something in the Single-Player mode...... otherwise it will be most likely a map. The map would be good if it was an interactive camera and the game was played on the bottom screen and then the top could be a all-the-way-zoomed-out map... I don't know... we'll see!

Sounds kinda hard to do, with the limitations of a handheld console compared to a game system, but heck! If they were able to do 3D games like Mario 64 DS and others, this might be possible! But doubt it will come out, it might rock, but i don't think Nintendo cares much about it anymore :P Makes you wonder what will happen if SSB's idea wuz copied into PSP.I won't ruin the fun, juz imagine yourself. :rofl2:

I'll be hoping for this game, and have been before too. I totally for got about hoping for it when MKDS and M&L2 were being talked about. Now I can't wait to see if this will come out. (It would TOTALLY be the bomb.)Actually, you know what? If they do make one, it would probably come out at the same time as the SSB for the Rev., cause it will be internet play as well.

Seems like a cool idea since the ds has outdone the 64 so some new characters would be nice :P
