there would be nothing better- super smash bros is one of the greatest games ever created for nintendo 64 and gamecube, so i'm sure the ds would be nothing short of spectacular

Mario Kart DS has tracks, albeit cut down versions, from the GC version.Metroid Prime Hunters is a pretty decent version.Even Mario 64 DS surpasses the original, so i see no reason why this game wouldn't work on ds. Sure the screen is tiny by comparison, but the detail games like FFIII and Hunters has is more than enough for SSB.

The screen doesn't stretch very much in those games. If you were to have two people at the opposite ends of Z-Sector on a DS, you probably couldn't tell one from the other.I'm not TRYING to be a lamer; I really want SSB on the DS, too. It's just not very plausible that Nintendo would even consider trying to make SSBDS.

Well, the original SSB was on N64, and the DS can run games of that power pretty well. I think it would be great.

I think Super Samsh Bros for the DS would be pretty cool, but I would want them to make it 2D because the DS's 3D graphics aren't that good.

I think it would work, I'm not sure about the interface with the stylus and what it's function would be though.

I defiantly like the idea of a Super Smash Bros game for Ds, but how would you incorporate the touch screen in gameplay?

It's about the best thing that can happen to the DS, and may happen. We don't lack buttons, or so I think..

I'd be happy if they just ported the n64 SSB to the DS. Of course i'm not gonna leave out reprogramming it to work with the DS.

Yeah it'd be cool and all but they'd have to figure out an innovative way to incorporate the touch screen without fundamentally altering the game.

i would personally love to see a SSB for the DS but getting my hopes up wouldnt be entirely healthy especially since the idea that they could really do something awesome with the Brawl game for the wii. something similar to the Dreamcast, where you would have your save file on your ds and able to play single player games on your ds, then re transfer them back with your new data. *the dreamcast had the memory card with the gamepad/buttons you could play 2d games on them, and with all of the amazing tech coming out nowadays it seems entirely possible* :D i feel superior

I don't really think that a DS SSB would work very well, but nintendo do seem to have a knack for getting games right. If it was made, I'd almost certainly buy it.

If Nintendo makes SSB DS, I would DEFINATELY like to see major WiFi Playability, and extra 1P modes for when you don't have a hotspot. All around though, Nintendo has a knack for doing things right, even when it seems unlikely... Just look at the DS itsself, and now the Wii! So don't knock something down just 'cause you can't think of a way to do it, because chances are, someone else already has.
