Would be pretty cool I think. Wonder if Nintendo would use the touch screen at all for it? And if so, how?

With the whole SSB on DS thing, I would say Yes and No. It's awesome that if a game like this would be on a DS because people would buy it and DS sales would skyrocket, not to mention with the help of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Wi-Fi on the DS is interesting, and if an SSB game has Wi-Fi, you know what's going to happen. ^_^ The only things I wouldn't look forward to or something that would confuzzle me is the controls. SSB without an Analog Stick might be a little hard, unless someone's used to emulation XD. And how good would the graphics be?

I could imagine a SSBDS. I don't think that the control layout would be too complex or elaborate. They could also have fun with the Wi-Fi, too. My predictions are that Nintendo will port most of their smash-hit selling N64 games to the DS. They've already started with SM64DS.

that'd be cool. I'd like to start battling over the wifi connection. The two screens would work well in a variety of ways. It could make for larger stages or one of the screens can simply show the stats and positions of all the characters and the other the actual arena.

yea, there really aren't that many smash brothers. it's just a matter of how well the addictive gameplay of the n64 and gamecube versions would translate onto a handheld system like the ds.

I dunno, I'd love it if they did it, but they'd have to pull it off properly to make me happy.

SSB for DS would be sweet just because of the fact that all SSB have been awesome. I will be a bit interesting because there isn't a joystick.

One of us should email Nintendo and tell them about our brillant idea of a Super Smash on the DS.

Yeah, I would like it. But they have to tweak the graphics to the full extent of the Ds.

I wonder how the controls would be like, kinda hard to see your opponent with your hand blocking the screen.

i agree its a nice idea but i don't think that they would want to bother making one for ds since they have been working on the one for the wii...

They definitely will. The money-making potential of SSBDS will be too much for Nintendo to resist.
