duh they are adding it on SSBBoh yeah hereI wrote this in N-sider forums (i am Tru-ZSaber)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------XXTMBXX24 wrote:Having SSB on the DS would ruin the series- without a doubt. The graphics would be awful. So it would be hard to see on the screen with all of the action. The control would be to simplistic. The game would suffer from severe slowdowns because its on the DS.Just not a good idea even in theory. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------1)one game wont ruin the once-a-game-system game like this one you guys never seem to give thinhgs a chance how do you know it's going to ruin the series if its just one game. megaman battle chip challenge sucked and yet people still bought games after that.2)A SPECIAL cartridge like i keep saying would work out some cartridge powerful like the DS Browser Cartridge that could help the Graphics/Data management/and settings3)actually if you look at New Super Mario Bros. it has up to four players and its fun and very visable so if they can put four marios (or luigi) on there they can squeeze in link and pikach and kirby (especially Kirby since he is small)4)okay as for the controls you can customize the game the way you want like for example how i wat my controls to be:A-Normal attacks, grab itemsB-Special attacks (up, down) (smash attacks[example: ->B, -B])X/Y- Jump (some people use X and some use Y)L/R- Shield (L or R+ A is grabbing opponents)A button Smash attacksA+Foward(also back)A+DownA+UpB button movsetB+UpB+Foward(also back)B+Downyes its possible to do those moves with a D-pad5) and Mario 64 Ds has some graphic changes to look better (mario has more shape than in the 64) and has extra stars and that game is working just fine6) next time one person at a time and one complaint only per person so i can do this easieralso read this before posting the same thingsome points i made a while back

hmmm... im a ssb fan but, the lack of joysticks make smashing akward, though nintendo has already come up with the answer through "brawl". with the wii mote turned on the side... then comes the concern of graphics. and also if the ds is capable of have a 4 player simueltaneasly play at the same time, with smooth gameplay... i would just rather wait for the next ds to have capabilities like that of the gamecube. then again, the games has been sooooo good cuz it hasnt been wasted away with sequels. would you really want to see a new ssb game that isnt quite as good as "MELEE". It'll like watching what happened to prime hunter all over again!

40 bucks because well FF cost that much and it was long. . .the detail they would have to put in the game would give the same price

I would so buy SSBDS. And it would be cool if you could attack with the stylus, though I am not sure how that would work.

Could either be awesome, or horribly bad. This does interest me though. Let's just hope they don't screw it up.

I've heard info from some of my friends that there'll be a SSBDS version. and as my friends and I always organize NGC parties which always contain at least one cube for ssbm, I'd like to know if some of you have heard anything about a possible SSBDS.TIA, tha cloudbolt

no i have not but it sounds like a good idea.

Although I haven't heard anything, it does seem plausible. Considering the DS's processing power and affinity for multiplayer gaming. The thought of tag team battles via the touch-screen, or maybe storing items on the touch-screen....*shudder* Wow, I certainly hope this can be confirmed...

I don't think it would work, if it did work how it did on N64 and Gamecube I think it would be great, but the DS has a lack of buttons. Plus, SSB hasn't ever really used the d-pad for overall movement, I don't think it will work, but it could, but even if it DID, it wouldn't be nearly as great as any of it's other incarnations.

Why wouldn't it work, I play SSB64 with an emulator using the keyboard and I don't have any problem doing smashes/tilts/short hops and everything.SSBDS most probably won't happen though, as much as I'd like it.

Well, I am not totally sure, but I don't think I would enjoy it as much without using a controller...do you enjoy using the emulated SSB64 on computer as you did on N64?Even if it does work, since they are moving it to a system with different controls. Given they aren't miles apart, in fact they are pretty close, but I imagine they would end up reworking the controls just enough to ruin the game...probably like they are going to do with the Wii...I'm just not sure they would go about making it the right way...
