I think the potential is there, but IMHO Smash Brothers works best as a console game. More room for controls and being able to play with others, I guess.

I think it'd be great. I think I'd prefer it be in 2D rather than 3D though. We already have a 3D smash brothers and the DS seems better suited for 2D fighters anyways. Plus you could probably fit in a few more characters that way.

having SSB on a DS would be awesome but it would defeat a purpose for the touch screen! too short of a time to actually do something.. well they should come up with something o.O

Wee you don't need much but you do need to know combinations like on melee ( foward B, foward A all that nonsense) it really is easy

I wouldnt buy it, Im waiting for Super Smash Brothers Melee =)

Brawlwhich is available for reserve at gamestop. . .also the official site gives updates for those that don't know

Well it could be used for lots of stuff like:MenuQuick pauseCameraa special game mode like single button mode on melee:) imagine if it could interact with brawl

Yeah brawl's gonna be sweet, but a Smash Bros for DS would be even sweeter, getting to play with anyone and everyone at will.

Considering the fact that the DS has similar controls, A B X Y L R START and the arrows that would be a nice idea. What would we do about the small screens though? If we had the whole map on one ds we would be squinting to see our character

i have a ds and i dont get how you would be able to play on line i thought you could only play pepol within a 50 foot range? do you buy a cabel and hook that up to the cp and then play online?

You need eitherA. A wireless routerorB. A Nintendo Wifi connection CableIf you have one of those refer to the DS instruction manual for how to play online
