I hope they do cause for one thing it would be wifi compadible and second, they can take all those annoying % and symbol counts that take up the bottom half of the screen and put them on the bottom screen and have just the action on the top screen. GOD I hate those % Counts on the GCN, they always cover my player and I get so confused.

smash bros was made to be a ds game, just think of the dual screen chaos!! i hope nintendo think the same!

personally i wouldent think it would be chaos , i imagine it would be easy to use ,, well look at their new consold's controler, dont tell me u diden't seriously think tht it woulden't be orcward, but yet all the same we havent tried it yet so i hope they makes ssb it would be a good seller regardless of its possible orcwardness of controls. :D

It should be done, and it probably will be too. The first two made way to much money for Nintendo not to port them on the DS.

i do remember one thing.
it took hours and hours but.
by the time i was done with it.
i was so involved. i didn't even know what to think.
i carried it around with me for days. and days.
playing little games.
like. not looking at it for a whole day.
and then. looking at it.
to see if I still liked it.
i did.

Here's an idea...You know when you die, there is always a few seconds you have before that platform you spawn in goes away? What if you could use the touch screen to switch out a character while on that platform? :umm: Kinda like a tag team.

It would be a great idea, but how whould thay incorperate the touch screen. I can see it as a way to navigate the menus but not during gameplay. It would slow and be hard to control.

I agree. Play the actual game with the D-pad and the buttons, navigate the menu with the stylus. Would work much better.

Hell, if this ever gets announced, I'll pre-order it then! But yeah, it will be hectic for SSB to be on DS, esp if it has NWC compatible on it. Even without it, it will still be cool with the single-cart multiplayer (if adaptable).I'm predicting that the control scheme will be...A - Special Move (Up + B, Down + B, Forward + B as appose in SSBm) B - Weak / Quick Attack (Used in Jump Super Stars)Y - Powerful / Smash attack (Used in Jump Super Stars)X - JumpL - ShieldR - GrabSelect - TauntOnly if this were to be realistic... as we only have to wait for a long time... or till the Revolution comes out.

you cant have to different buttons for weak and strong smash.

I don't see why they can't just port the one from N64 over.

I'm almost positive it won't come out for DS. I mean, with the revolution coming out so soon, the new SSMB will be coming out for RV not the DS.

If it isn't, there will be blood... Just kidding. :P Seriously though, what idiot would say "Let's not make SSB for the DS and not make millions of dollars off of it."? That's just retarded. Believe me, it will be coming out on the DS, hopefully soon.

smash bros would be the greatest game ever on the DS.Imagine the possibilities: Online-smashing :P no, I think it will be similar to mario kart DS. A great game with nice graphics. But I hope it won't be 3d- graphics but drawn and 2d. I mean the game is already 2d and it would be wise spending less on graphics and more on characters and levels and items.AND the chance of playing smash with 8 players.YEEEHA, living Madnessso far, taurus

Hm, no. SSBM is great for its graphics and techniques, including glitches. I don't think DS will have so much to do better than GC. I'd rather wait for Revolution than buying for DS.

I don't think buttons would be the problem with it... characters and maps would be... there's soo much in SSB that you would need to limit a lot thus causing riots because "I want to use Pichu and the old Yoshi level again!" even though they removed them....

true true, but way too small for me, and itd be a hassle tryin to change it up a little. and for anyone whos played ssbm, its hard to see it changed without being on a console...
