With all the mods you can get online, it makes a fantastic exploring game, though the battle system and storyline are very open. I got Game of The Year Edition (Morrowind, bloodmoon, Tribunal, and Contruction set) for about $19.99, I feel it's worth the price.

When people say this game is not for everyone, its REALLY not for everyone, im not saying its a bad game but i personally dont like it because its way too open ended (be at the hardest point in the game at first level)

To be honest, Oblivion blows Morrowind out of the water in every aspect.Agreed that this game is not for everyone, but if you've played the Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, you'll see they've taken steps to tighten the game up plot-wise whilst still giving you the ability to "tell your own story". I'd say, give it a try if you can get it cheap - otherwise, go get Oblivion!

The game is more exploration than anything else. If you enjoy walking out into the world and finding adventure without much direction, then you will enjoy it.

the game is good but once you understand the general concept of the game it becomes too easy

I didn't like MorrowWind. The fighting system to me was really, really bad. You would swing and swing and never hit the guy even though the cliffer hanger covered your screen.

I thought morrowind was extremely entertaining, although the combat was very dry. Also, I have about five friends who constantly told me about how bad they thought Oblivion was after it released.....for over a year

Morrowind > oblivion. In morrowind if you max your acrobatics you can jump ridiculously long distances and travel very fast that way. Both games are good but morrowind comes out on top imo.

It's a little dated now, but still a solid choice. That's the thing that sucks about those non-linear games: They are fun for their time but they don't hold up as well in the long run.

I never really like the Elder Scrolls series, but Morrowind and Oblivion are alright. Even though Morrowind is older, I prefer it to oblivion. But the sandbox style gets old to me really easily.
