The best RPG I've ever played is Tales of Symphonia.It has a great story and a very neat action-based fighting system.

I have a couple of favorite RPGs but they areChrono TriggerKingdom HeartsSuper Mario RPGI have played hundreds of rpgs but to me those stand out the most in my mind

id hav to say the breathe of fire 3 is teh best rpg ever but my favourite is final fantasy 7but i also enjoy zelda aswellgotta be one of teh best rpg series ever

Shining Force 1 and 2 were great games. Oh, and I also love Final Fantasy. (especially FF tactics for the ps1)
