Most Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest games take me some time. Not sure which is longer any more (don't care, either). Length does not equal quality, despite popular belief. For example, Chrono Trigger (arguable the greatest RPG that ever graced the video game industry) was astonishingly short for me, even getting all the endings. Still on my top 10 RPGs ever.

on PC it's definitly Morrowind i spent at least 700 hours on that game with all the expension and that's with just 1 char...or else if it's on a console, i would say vagrant story on PSX, i'm a bit over 500 hours there, wanted to max every single thing in game ^^'

I have to agree with the starter of this topic. FFVII was the longest game I've play when actually trying to get through it quickly. All the rest since have been shorter by some margin.

Tales of Symphonia on Gamecube. It took me about 80 hours to beat the game, but that doesn't mean thats it -- there is a STAGGERING amount of extras in the game, so much that it takes at least ***3*** playthroughs to get every item, complete every quest, find every monster...

Make sure you try Cheesy Gordita Crunch at Taco Bell. Best taco ever! And cheap to boot!

Final Fantasy Tactics. I maxed out the time. It was at 999 hours.

The silent air will soon be filled with horrid screams. The vague night will soon be lit by the destruction we leave in our wake. The shivery ground will soon be covered with sweltering blood. We will bring about...EndlessChaoz.

Other than Morrowind (it's a huge collection of side quests, with a a main one for good measure!), I'd have to say the original Final Fantasy on the NES. You really have to grind through the random encounters to get anywhere near strong enough to get anywhere.
