Generally I would have to say Zelda, unless i am with friends to play an old mario game
By the way, water temple is under the lake, you need iron boots and a zora's tunic would come in handy. I haven't played it in a while but i think you hookshot a crystal to raise the gate or somethingZelda Games are a lot more fun than Mario. Mario games are getting played out.I have a N64 emulator at home and play Ocarina of Time a lotI am looking to find the Water Temple currently.Any suggestions?Parker Thomas

Definitely Mario games. I'm not saying that I don't like Zelda games. I mean, I love Zelda games too! 
But it's just that Mario games are some of the very first games I ever played as a young kid, and I have a lot of found memories with Mario games, especially Super Mario 64.

i like zelda games more because mario is more of a game for younger people and also because zelda games require much more thinking

I like mario games cuz they dont have any zombies in the game. And even though they have the zombie koopa, its not as scary as the zombies in legend of zelda.

you got a point though cause all mario does is jump on you but the ssbb mario is strongZelda, I'm more an RPG fan.Sometimes when I play mario games I have the feeling it's kinda pointless...

I enjoyed both mario and zelda games the orcaina of time for n64 is my fav zelda gameand link can kill mario easily unless mario gets a mushroom

I think I'd have to vote for Zelda, here. Don't get me wrong, i love mario, but Zelda has just been so consistently good, whereas I was disappointed with Mario Sunshine.
We can steal her shoes, we have the technology!
