im one of the biggest Zelda Fans there is. but even i have to say that WindWaker kinda blows. towards the end it is sooooo repetetive, especially when you have to find the triforce peices. it was an alright game. i also didnt like the whole cell shaded idea, it gave the game too much of a kiddy feel.

For best Zelda game I'd say it'd be Majora's Mask, then Link to the Past, and 3rd the Original Zelda, but out of those 2.......People always gripe about the graphics, saying it isn't how Zelda is supposed to be. I don't think the graphics matter too much and I like the Cel Shading but when I play wind waker it dosn't feel much like a Zelda game. Play ocarina of time and Link to the past and you will realize how simmalir they are(game play wise, not graphics) but Windwalker had too much changed for my taste :D I didn't like the whole riding around in a boat thing, and thought the camera idea was a bit "thrown in". Windwalker was a good game but I didn't think it was up to par with Ocarina of Time or even Seasons and Ages(sadly)

i agree. both OOT and WW had fairly large maps - i think OOT has a larger oneit was really boring sailing the ocean most of the time. searching for the triforce shards was annoying alsoi think OOT was much better. it had N64 graphics, but had many options during gameplay. Link had 3 different tunics, many weapons for young and adult link, Epona, and playing the ocarinathe first time i played OOT i somehow missed Din's fire. :P when i got to the shadow temple i couldn't open the gate. :D

ww is a very good game but lots of thing disapointed me in it like ...1- the number of dungeons2- the cartoony graphic3- the quest to find all the piece of the triforce... was total boring :banghead: oot is still the best zelda game... But when the new zelda on game cube gonna come in 2005 it will proly be better then oot B)

Wind Waker for me. You see, what is most important to me is the Zelda atmosphere. It was the thing that made me fall in love with Link to the Past. And although Ocarina was a decent enough game, it had pretty much nothing of the atmosphere that I liked so much from its prequel. It just seemed like a completely different game with some Zelda references thrown into it at the last minute. As a game, it was decent, as a Zelda, I thought it missed the point completely. :banghead:Wind Waker brought that atmosphere back. This was the 3D LttP I had been waiting for for years. Thanks to cel-shading, the Zelda magic was finally back. :D:DXD Sure, the gameplay wasn't as good as it could have been, but it did so many things right in the atmosphere department that I didn't mind. When I think of Zelda, I think of a light-hearted, cartoony adventure starring a child who, despite not having the physique of a warrior, takes on evil with all that he has - courage - and triumphs (like the Hobbits in LOTR). That's why I couldn't be happier with what Wind Waker did, and why I couldn't be unhappier with what the new "Zelda" tries to do. :curses::puke:(N) As I say in my sig on another forum: "Zelda: No Cel, No Sale".

I really prefer ocarina of time. Dont get me wrong, i really like wind walker too, but the storyline of ocarina of time is more like the zelda games I used to play, And I prefer more realistic games.

WW for sure. It had better graphics and more creative bosses. The only thing I didn't like was that there were too few dungeons.

OoT. I think the game had a better atmosphere, from the serene forest, to the dark, moody castle in the future world. Even in the "dark" places Wind waker just seemed to be all sunshine and butterflies. I also think that Wind Waker was a little too easy. OoT seemed to be quite a bit more difficult (and more rewarding in my opinion). That's just my opinion though...

I'm sorry but WW doen't deserve to be compared to OoT. I mean There really is no competition in greatness. I loved OoT for the 64 because thats where I first played it y'now, spent hours playing and haveing fun. Thw windwaker however seemed a less addictive event, and although made from the same people I don't think there was TOO much effort put it. But I did say this to a few friends that this wasn't what they where working on, I kinda knew that there was something else being developed that just the WW. I have a gut feeling. and I was right, a new (dark) zelda will be born this year. oh how I can't wait to sink my teeth into that.
