Most games I played now are easy. Older games are much hard then the newer ones(with the exception of multi player games where you kill each other or somefing). For example the zelda game on snes seems much harder than the newer ones it took me like a month to finish that games and it only took me a week to finish the wind waker and majoras mask.Whats ur opinion on the topic?

Yea, they are. With newer tech, people tend to play with making greater graphics than gameplay.

I totally agree with that games are becoming way too easy, they work more on the graphics than on the gameplay, and that's exactly why I use emulator of megadrive and nintendo to play old games, they were the best.

You have no idea what the real me can be like.

Newer games aren't all easier. But I do get what you're saying. I think the reason for that is because you can do so much more in newer games. In the original Mario Bros, if you didn't jump perfectly, you were screwed. In Mario 64, you could do about 6 different jumps. With more options, games tend to get a little easier. But there's definitely still plenty of hard ones out there

Well, you completed majora's mask faster because it is meant to be a quickie game. I don't think the games are so much easier now, as shorter. They require more skill, you could say.

i don't necessarily think games are getting easier, but i do think they are getter more and more poorly developed. Developers tend to rush games out, half complete, just so they can ride the holiday sales rush, instead of actually taking their time and developing a quality product. one such disappointment that comes to mind is the wind waker; it was rushed out too early and as a result two near-complete dungeons were left out of the game, and in their place was a idiotic green "fairy" that ruined a semi-salvageable game...though it may have been the hunt that ensued that ruined the game-I couldn't tell, cause it was hard to see through the wall of dispassion about this product. Then again, maybe i don't know what i'm talking about....

Yeah i reckon games are getting easier, and moreover they are getting quicker and quicker to finish. People are trying to make as much money as possible and they are sacrificing gameplay for graphics.

iniquity602 nearly has it. Game aren't easier. Games are just more forgiving nowadays since they have the ability to do so. A game could be hard if set so. Ninja Gaiden, Contra:SS, and others are examples. Back in the day, AI and all that was limited, so they couldn't do anything complicated. All they could so was make it cheap. Super Mario Bros: The Lost levels is a perfect example. Ypu had to be pixel perfect. Oh, and a Boy and His Blob too. Hell, certain characters in Super MArio Kart were made purposely cheap since AI sucked. Bowser and Koopa had like infinite supplies of fireballs and shells. ANd the developers have always sucked. The same amount of crap is available today as it was back in the day. Now, you have the internet and media to create hype for a crappy game where you couldn't do that in the day

Well some games are getting easier, but some games it's still quite hard and entertaining. Like Windwaker. Also if you want a bigger challenge in the games, there's usually the hard mode in the games to give it the extra kick . So yes I think some games are getting easier, but some still stays have the awesome puzzles to it.

I think that the games don't get easier, it's just that your mind grows and you figure out stuff quicker. I have yet to play I game I can't beat within three days. ( not playing in hours straight)

Yeah? Go play Star Ocean 3 (Till The End Of Time here in this God-forsaken hellhole we call America) on 4D difficulty and see how long it takes you.

I agree... overall they're definitely getting easier, but then a super-difficult game suddenly pops out from nowhere...

That's exactly what I think. Games on the NES were a lot harder than games on like...PS2. The gaming world has become corrupt because all the community cares about is how good it looks, not how good the game actually is.At least, that is my opinion.

Does anyone remember the old King's Quest games? Was it possible to play it without dying at least ten times? I'd say games are getting easier, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

i dunno, i didn't notice it. Recently i've seen a lot of First Person Shooters (FPS) get shorter and much easier. Like the new Call of Duty 2 doesn't even have a life counter. Same with Halo and Halo 2. I guess it's because it's getting harder to make a long game without makeing it like 6 CD's long. Real Time Stratgies have been getting better like Age of Empires III and it's new card system adds a whole new layer to strategy. So i guess that certain genres have been getting easier but most are just shorter.

I dont think that new game is easier. Now RPG game is more like action RPG, so not only you need to level up, you also need skill of your hand to beat the enemy. Not like the older days (classic RPG), if you can't beat an enemy, you just need to level up more

No, actually they are getting harder and harder. I'm comparing between RPGs. On the other hand, platfrom games are easy now, compared to old games like Mario.

I also think the games are getting harder... maybe they look easier because people grow and it's easier to find some things... and because now you can check on every available guide... find some cheat codes and so on
