Games are only really getting easier because its harder to keep up with the rate gamers play at, back in NES and SG and the like, it wasnt required to make the game as hard as possible to be a chalenge, because those type of games were still evolving and thus people had not gotten used to how to play them. Now you have way harder games, games that older people who played Atari well and everything have no capacity to play because they didnt evolve with the games...

I do think modern games are easier. The older games (1980's) had to be hard so you would have to spend a lot of money to play. You know, arcades. ;)

I think games seem easier also because of advancements in technology. Now, controls for games can be much more responsive and comprehensive than earlier games, so you have a higher degree of control. In a way, that makes it easier.

I say they get easer. I still have proplems with old games back in the 16 bit days. Not many games come up to that leve of difcultly. this is because they try to get the casual gamers in now so they can't make a game too hard or they won't play it.

Under normal conditions, I might say that they are, but considering I have played nothing but Ninja Gaiden for the past 3 days, I am gonna say they are just as hard.I guess as a whole new games are probably easier.

games aren't getting but shorter due to the demand of gamers of wanting more selections to choose from. all games are created to be difficult at first but tend to be easy after much playing time with it.

Hear, hear! Heh, but I think it's somewhat of a combination of both. We get better and they get easier.

In my opinion i think games are getting harder to play for the serious games and there also geting easier for kid games like "We Love Katamari" that looks like an easy game to play.

I think games have the same amount of difficulty, but most gamers play so many games that there able to handle challenges as though they we're easy.

I don't think games are getting easier. I think it is still the same difficulty on average and for some, it's even getting more difficult like the pokemon game series.

I don't know if the games are getting easier or I have just gotten better (think about it). Really, I think that games are getting more reasonable. Now there is something to be said for beating some of those extremely hard games for NES, but how much enjoyment is it to sit frustrated for hours upon hours, doing the same thing over and over ... This may not be true for all game generes. I tend to play games with puzzles in them, simulations, or RPGs, so that may play a part in my feelings.
