Yes, and no...it all depends on your own skill level, and the set difficulty level. If you aren't getting enough of a challange playing a game, change the difficulty to the hardest level.

ok so heres what i think. Its not so much that the games are getting easier, its that they are getting shorter. There arent many games out there now a days that are 70 hour plus games, so they just seem easier, but if your looking for a challenging game, try to play F.E.A.R. its a great game, on pc or on 360. its got the hardest AI ive ever encountered and they will plot to kill you. But for the most part its not a difficulty factor, its the time that it takes to play them in my opinion.

They're making them easier now because people want longer games, but they don't want them to be hard and long.

well all games are overcome by pattern learningit would be interesting to find games that actually can adapt to the player's skills but the formula for most game is to just let that learning curve thats not so steep

YA I think that games are really getting easier (or i'm getting better) but i dont think that games reall tend to focus on storyline and hard brick walls that a player has to overcome in order to progress and really get a feel for the game, take suikoden 4 it was a good rpg for me because it was not simple and the story (being a book) made it quite intense. i hope that game developers will make more in-depth games that really can take forever but contain alot of action. if your like me then i do suggest one really hard FPS for the PS3 system: Resistance, fall of man. it has an intense story line and good gameplay that kept me and my friend (we are capable of beating halo 1, 2 on legendary in 4 hrs co-op) a good five hours to get through the game on medium. :D so enjoi

I really think games are getting too easy. Back about 3 years ago a game would take me at least 3 weeks to beat. Now I beat them all in under 4 days. I wish the companies would make a really long and hard game.

i agree they are alot easier nowadays, for instance, i downloaded the old Repton game the other week, i've played the first level a billiiion times, took me aaages to get to the 2nd level, and i cant get past THAT - they were made for more tactical, intellectual brains, mind i wouldnt say they're dumbing down games now, they are more fun, and easier on the eye, they just take a different logic to finish it, a logic our generation have had years of practice in! :clapping: :clapping:

Heck yes games are becoming easier. Graphics are nice, but they don't make the game. It'd be great if developers could understand that - and were actually given the time to really put the spit-polish shine on their games. Usually the reason that games are released before they're really 'done' is because the publishers - not the developers - want to make money off of them. (I think Nintendo is an exception, but they're a developer/publisher in one).I remember playing Link to the Past. I completed it in two weeks. Whereas Landstalker on the Genesis/Megadrive took me two years.

For me, games are'nt getting easy. It is just that because people experience so much games already they think it's easy.Well that was just my opinion.
