Games aren't just getting easier IMO, I think they're also getting crappier. I need a little bit more GP to get the new Summon Night game, but I hear it is very easy.

Yes, they definatly are. While there are a few exeptions these days, like the Ninja Gaiden games on Xbox/Xbox360, most games cannot even begin to compare to the difficulty of many NES/SNES games.

I think the games are getting easier. Like Tomb raider 2 was so hard, that... Well, it's so hard that you can't express it in words. But tomb raider legend or anniversary, those were peace of cake! Or the first legacy of goku was extremely hard, the second one was medium and Buu's fury was extremely easy!

Definitely YES.Games are getting easier, easier and easier. That's beacause of the new brand of players. Before, videogames were expensive, rare and difficult. They were ''things for adults''.Now everyone owns a gaming consolle.Even 1th grade childrens have more than one consolle.Programmers can't just say ''We don't care that chldrens wants to play,we'll keep to make ''icantgothroughit'' games. You can cry a lake,we'll not change our mind''Nintendo,Sony,Microsoft (just naming the most popular ones) can't ignore new players because they have to think to their profit. If they'll suddently begin to make old-school games they'll fail in about a week

I totally agree with you man. Games these days are getting more simpler and more features are just being added. It gets me wondering why older games with less technology were more challenging than the games with more technology advancements. I was expecting newer games to be more harder now that they have newer tech.If developers weren't lazy, they could make the game more challenging with the new tech they are about to have.Look at F-Zero GX. That game is hard.

some of them actually spoon feed now....but 1/4 of the games right now still crack your skull 'coz of wrong ideas/programming problems....e.g.:doors,locks,paths,etc...

i think old school games usualy are much harder since u have to start over from the beggining in some cases, in most games nowadays u can continue to play untill u finnish it.

Maybe, but for action games and puzzle games, they seem to be harder compared to older games

For the most part, yes. There are still a few challenging games released now and again, but not as much as there were back in the day. (NES days)

Games are way to easy. It takes no time now to get through a full game. At least with some the older games i felt like accomplished something now it seems almost pointless.

Absolutely. As gaming grows more casual, developers are trying to appeal to the average consumer. Casual people don't want to break their knuckles over Contra 3. They want to sit down and have fun. While the occasional Ninja Gaiden or DMC shakes things up, as a whole gaming is becoming easier.

In my opinion, games get easier as we age, as we get more intelligent... But yeah, as I said, that's just my opinion.

They are easier, especially because of the memory cards, most old games had to be beaten in one sitting and had a limited ammount of lives, most games nowdays let you die as much as you want.

Older games are not really harder, but game developers are using new logic in things like camera controls and save systems in RPGs. It just makes the old games seem harder

I totally agree with that games are becoming way too easy, they work more on the graphics than on the gameplay, and that's exactly why I use emulator of megadrive and nintendo to play old games, they were the best.

ya like Halo 1 was harder than halo 3

Most new games are getting easier. Here are some examples.Guitar Hero 1 ---> Guitar Hero 2 - Bigger Timing Window, better guitar.Guitar Hero 2 ---> Guitar Hero 3 - HUGE Timing Window, easy HoPos, easy songs.Wind Waker ---> Twilight Princess - Twilight Princess wasn't hard, just confusing. Wind Waker was much harder IMO. Too long to sail around...
