I'm sure I'm not the only one that was outraged by squaresoft's decision to make Final Fantasy XI internet-only play. Sure..... it was a great game, but not very accessible by most. The fact that it costs per month only adds to the frustration. My question is, do you think squaresoft will make the same mistake with FF XII??? Or will they realize how much anguish they've caused most Final Fantasy fans?????

im also an offline gamer who was distressed by the online FFXI but im certain that ffXII will be offline. however i think that making it both online and offline will be a good move for square. this will make it very accessible for all 3 types of gamers (offline, online and both). and i dnt think they r goin 2 make anothr TOTALLY online FF game till ps3. it would be a bettr move to jus keep releasing upgrades for FFXI.

One thing's for sure, they'd best think a little harder on the next release, what with the disaster that was XI, to be fair it was pretty good game but really how many people played it? I liked VII the best. I hope with the next installment in the series they'll take their heads out of their asses and make a game that's worthwhile to play. For everyone.

It's definitely IX for me. I loved the story, most of the characters, and every location was nicely done. It's already pretty much concrete that XII's going to be offline only, so there's nothing to worry about there.

Top 3 ranking.1. FF92. FF7 (emotionally traumatized at the end of disc 1)3. FF8P.S. Maybe traumatized is way over exaggerated.

Final Fantasy IX is my favorite definitely. It has my favorite characters, story, locations, and 2nd favorite battle system.

i think the best FF is the sixth one BY FAR...it has one of the best stories ever...but it probably wont interest you guys that cant play games unless it look 3D or whatever...

I admit I'm not a online console player but by making final fantasy XI net only I believed it allowed people to show off how much they knew about the final fantasy world, not to mention burn anyone else that didn't have a clue... ( Take that Tidus!!! )

i think FF Vlll was the best ( ff 8) because there was squall and he was so cool the story was nice ,too

hmm FFVII man Sephiroth just kick donkey..lol..hmm it's my favourite not of thee gameplay but the feeling/memories of it while I was playing it..the best gameplay was FFX I suppose...

ff7-10 were all good. except 8 which i couldnt stand cuz of its length and complexity. im itrigued by its storyline though

i hated ff10 i probably wouldve liked it if the main character wasnt so gay.tidus sucks IMO.ff8 was the first ff game i played and really liked it.id say its a tie between 8 and 7 the 2 games where tetsuay nomura designed the main chars........gamplay goes 2 ff7 but story gos 2 ff8.sephiroth rules though check my signature and avatar

well my fav is FFVII but FFX is catching up fast the more i play it..as for the next FF installment it better be of FFVII Greatness or else i will be really sad...cos lately they seem 2 be rushing the games alittle bit making them really bad comaired 2 the older games
