Umm....you're kidding right? You seriously want a big phone jack on your PSP??? Not to mention dial up has horrible lag for online game play.i would make it easier to hook up to the internet and make it possible to use dial up

Maybe... the PSP 2 will like... expand to be a tent? It might be like a mini computer or something.I don't think there really needs to be a PSP 2 until they can really think of something to put it ahead.

If Sony made a new handheld, it wouldn't be too soon. PSP is still living in some glory, and there's not much else you can add to a new handheld

If they do make another, it won't be for a very long time.For the next year or maybe longer, they are going to have their hands overloaded with PS3 and Blu-Ray projects

i dont think they'll make another "sony psp2" bc after the ps3 they're probably going to make a ps1 emulator AND they're going to sell "psp camera" and "PSP GPS"

When they do make PSP2 (cause I'm pretty sure they aren't gonna try to give it a cooler name, I mean Playstation is a pretty recognizeable name worldwide), I'm sure they're gonna try to make it as over-the-top like the original PSP. It'll include all sorts of features that really aren't all that necessary, but extremely cool to have, like built-in GPS locator, voice recording ability, and more customability in the main menu of the system. Hopefully playback of movies won't be limited to .mp4/.m4v format and be able to play .avi or .divx encoded files. And UMDs will be abandoned for some other format.I mean that's how I see how Sony would approach it, but by then the DS and all its incarnations will have a stranglehold on the market until it rivals itself with either a new Game Boy line or yet another iteration of the DS.

I doubt Sony will release any revision to the PSP line anytime soon. They are devoting their time and resources into putting the PS3, and the PSP hardware has a lot of potential. I think Sony will definitely keep churning out firmware upgrades, but a completely new hardware upgrade? Don't count on it.

Bah, I don't predict the DS being on top forever. I personally don't get all the hype about it. The only reason I haven't sold it is because I'm holding on to a shrivel of hope that there will be some good games soon. I've actually only bought one game for it after having it for nearly two years!
