for real?no way, sony would not come out with a new PSP for another year or two. Anyways, i wouldn't be looking forward to it since i'll be busy playing away on my PS3.

The psp2 is still very much a work in progress and hasnt left the proof of concept stage over at sony.All I can say is I hope they dont do what they did with the PS3 and make a platform that is completely untested for the making of games. (please sony, no 64 core quantum based microbe technology 
) save that for the people that can afford it.

I'm happy with my PSP as it is, although if Sony were to come out with a new one I wouldn't be buying it. I'm currently in the process of switching back to Nintendo, so I'm passing on PS3 and getting the Wii. An NDS is also in my future

There have been rumors flying around about a new version of the psp that will opt with a HD instead of a MS. We will see though. It would be nice to have 8gb of space to play around with though.

If anything, I think the closes to a PSP 2 that Sony will ever get would probably be a redesign, just like their PS1 and PS2. Don't forget Nintendo redesigned their GBA like 2 times already and their DS to a DS Lite so maybe Sony might do something like.

I heard that Sony made an alliance with NVIDIA regarding the PSP2...They've done it in the past but it looks like that this time they (Sony) asked or demanded (don't know the specs of the deal...) a graphic card exclusive for the PSP2 in order to gain the best quality...There are some rumors that PSP2 is going to have vib function (don't know if it's true...) but it seems that it'll only be for games on hdd... They say that PSP2 will have a 4gb hdd to store video and music (no more flash card ^_^hehe)

i heard that the psp 2 is more like an upgrade to the first a bit like DS -> DS Lite, they will add 8GB internal memory and the disk tray is removed so you just slide in the UMD Disk into a slot. bit like DS lite, when the DS was out the game was covered by the case in DS lite you just slide it in.

Rumor update.It seems that the PSP2 could have 3G mobile capability :DThere is some speculation that it will have 2 cameras (1 in front + 1 in the back) for video calls :(I guess they're trying to make a new Ngage, hopefully this one will be better...Lol...More news i get them... ^_^hehe

I think it will be. If the rumors are true, PSP2 will be a conjoined project by Sony, Sony Ericson and Nvidia...It'll be a phone, a pen and a handheld console all in one...

yeah good point. psp can be upgraded as long as they keep making upgrades for it...meaning psp2 has to have sumthing that the psp wont have or be upgraded to get...if it does then that defeats the purpose of the psp2It's too soon for the PSP2 if you think about it, and the fact that tthe PSP and PS3 can be upgraded means they might last for 12 years.
