yes I agree with mindcontroller. Gran Turismo is the best racing game on the PS1.

I think this one is obvious:For technicalities, I would go with Gran TurismoFor get right to the point fun, I would go with Ridge Racer R4, the mechanics are great, the music is not that bad, and it gets right to the pointI was very impressed by the NFS series, I've yet to play underground but I can't wait to get my hands on it, since I can RICE out my ride on a game

Gran Turismo, if you want to use brand name makes and a models. And Ridge Racer 4 for a fast pace game. [I think]. But for me Gran Turismo hands down.

Yes, I think Gran Turismo 2 is one of the best(if not the best). But I liked Road Rage too. I do not know if you could call Twisted Metal 4 a racing game..... but anyway it was way too cool. And Crash Team Racing...... racing, right?.

NFSU1&2 aren't ps1 games. The best ps1 racing game by far is GT2 there is no competition...from anyone.NEED FOR SPEED SERIES,123:HOT PURSUIT,UNDERGROUND1&2

GT2 gets my vote. Its realistic, you can mod the cars, and its a lot of fun.
