Personally, I would go with the most recent game, that being Age of Empires (3rd installment). But Age of Mythology has a better experience, I think. I would try both.

I'm adding +1 to the AoM crowd. It's pretty much the same game as AoE, with a few more bits added on for extra fun (God Powers, etc.), and - of course - it's a newer game, so, all the bells and whistles that go with being 'newer' (quality, gameplay, etc.).

AOM is the god of AOEit has better graphicsthe scenario rocksthe god powers are cool tooand better than AOM is AOM the titans

Age of Mythology hands down. Especially if you like mythology. It combines magic, ancient fighting, and titans. It also has better graphics and music.

aoe 3 is excellent with good graphics but if u r looking for fun with stratergy take aomim trying to decide whether to buy Age of Empires or Age of Mythology. can anyone help me decide?

It really depends on what you want in the game.With Age of Empires the places where you can place buildings is static, the land is quite rough graphically and it's fun to build defenses in it (because of the static placement of buildings). You also get a good historical game if you play the campaigns.With Age of Mythology, you get to control mythological units (such as hydra or Pegasus), the building placement is not static (you can place the buildings almost anywhere in any way on the map) and the land is very smooth graphically (which I personally don't like because I like having solid and obvious cliffs, like in AoE). Another interesting addition to this game is god powers, they can be quite fun to play with at times, but it can get annoying when you suffer sudden meteor strikes or hurricanes when you're just starting to build a lot of stuff. Finally, with AoM, you get to (as the name implies) play in mythological times, the game (loosely) follows the mythos of different countries in the (then) known world.

Well, my friends and i had afew LAN matches on AoE2:Conquers then on went onto AoM:TitansIt was strange lol With AoE2 you can spam a large army of elites and treb everything but with AoM you can't, the unit cap is tiny and mythical fighters destroy standard units Also if someone rush builds a Titan gate, its practically game over

I prefer AoE... I like to fight more... "real" battles, plus I'm nostalgic 
But AoE 3, I initially didn't like much. With the expansion, it's much better though, more civs and all... But I like CoH better than both of them.

AOM of course. AOE is an usual strategy. AOM has mythical creatures. Just for mention: Empire Earth is great too. I like it cuz it has 14-15 ages. AOM and AOE has only 4.

This is a hard choice. Both are good games, but really depends on what are looking for. AOM has mythological creatures. While AOE has human soligers and tank ect.

I personally find AoM more fun than any of the Es, but that might be because me and my friends were always on AoM's multiplayer so I might have some rose-tinted glasses

Then you can go for RoN too... it doesn't have 15 ages though, just 8. All the MS "Age of" games have pro and cons. AoE 2 is da best in terms of gameplay and historic accuracy, but has the lowest graphics. AoM is cool graphics, but little variety in civilizations, and the mythical units are plain overkill (I'm not even gonna talk about titans X_X )... AoE III is the best graphics and possibly even best gameplay, but has very few civilizations... The expansions have changed that tho, and now AoE III is one of my favs. I still prefer RoN/RoL and Empire Earth III though.This is a hard choice.
