Mythology is better if your graphics are goodbut if your comp is crap go with AOE

age of empire is better than age of mythology cuz I've played more AOE than AOM and it is better especially the 3rd warchiefs

AOE is great but it just can't stand up to the site of 50 greek warriors turned to stone by an army of Medusas. Go with AOM.

Depends on if you're buy the first or second age of empires imo. Age of mythology is good either way, very fun.

Age of empires is a classic strategy, it is way way better than Age of mythologySomeone complained about the graphics of Age of mythology...well..you should try out Age of Empires 3 with its expansions

It depends what AOE game you are getting. 1 and 2 are a bit dated. It's a hard choice because they are somewhat similar games. What are you more intrested in - History or Mythology? That will give you your answer.

I would say start off with AOE first and get used to it then work your way to AOM

aoe 3 is koool but the story is 2 shortmaybe you should buy the cheaper and then download the other from taringa

AoE gets a little Tyresome after a while. only AoE 3 had an actual story, a plot it could evolve around.AoM is something decent, it was the first in the new generation Microsoft games, and AoE 3 uses the same Animation and GFX engine.

The date on the first post is so long ago. Lol.Both games to me were a lot of fun. AOE has a lot more depth to it, but AOM has a more linear storyline. I'd say you can't really go wrong with either choice.

Both AoE and AoM have there good points. AoM does have better graphics and such, because it is newer, I like it because of the mythology. AoE goes a little bit more into it however, giving you more civilization options, and it has more impovements, such as a University. I think both are really good, but I like AoM better, so yeah.

AoE III beats AoM even in terms of that. I think this thread is about all games in the AoE series, and while the initial flaw of AoE III was too few civs, the expansions eliminate that problem too.AoM does have better graphics and such, because it is newer,

well it depends, do you like to build up slowly and emass buildings? then aoe will be perfect for youif you just like to use people to kill people then you should get aom since the gameplay is faster and much cooler in my opinon

AOE 2 was quality. AOM was kinda weird for me - just didn't relate well to the change of gameplay. i liked the timeline crap from aoe
