because anime is made from japanese and americans cant make as good animes or they cant draw as good as japan ppl and because america sucks

The anime are way more involved usualy aimed at an older target group and so can be more complex and thus more interisting

anime is a lot better 'cause the quality of drawing is great and the majority of the american cartoon sucks, thats just a few lines with strange forms.

Anime- futuristic, yet realistic with the same moral tales over and over again, 'work together~'American cartoons - a bit unrealistic, but tells of moral tales stronger than that of the animes

American cartoons focused more on superheroes and its target is mainly children. On the other hand, anime targets a wide audience, not just children but also adults and themes not only on saving the world and such but also on other matters, like plain school life.Imagine an american cartoon themed on school life? It'll suck for sure!!!

i think so too. When you come down to it, all anime is a reflection of asian culture, and asian ideals. Its just different from the comics that most of america had been reading like 20, 30 yrs ago. Its something new and different. Therein lays the reason for its popularityIt's only because anime is now IN and American cartoons are now OUT...

american's just want the quick buck and do a hasty job of all their shows. japanese anime takes time and patience which is reflected on the quality of their anime and whiy its so popular

Generally Anime tends to be better because there is a larger range of ages that are targeted. American Cartoons are aimed primarily at younger kids, generally those below 6th grade, where as anime can be aimed at all ages since there are somany different anime age groups. As a highschool I feel anime is better just because there are more animes that I know of that are aimed at teenagers, than american cartoons. Though there are some cartoons that are aimed at the older audiences the majority of Cartoons seem to be aimed at little kids.

you see anime shows are the best cause they have lots of actions and stuff, but american cartoons like family guy or american dad or simpsons are really funny

American often times tend to lack in the creativity and vision needed for good story telling. Even toons aimed towards an older audience is filled with no smart humor at all, and childerens shows are not much better with this. American made cartoons i remember were much better back in the 80's Looking back yes they may be a bit cheesy, but they had GREAT stories, Legendary characters, and GREAT visuals.

anime imo have better stories with more real characters that u can relate to.also actions in anime r much better and if a scene is sad u can feel itthere is almost no emotion in american cartoons

Anime seems to have more mature storylines, while all the adult cartoons in America are focused on comedy. Hopefully with this generation kids watching anime, when we are adults, there maybe cartoons aimed at adults that are serious and have drama and action, and true character development.Most american cartoon shows are for kids, because most people see a cartoon they think it is kiddy. That is why there is not a lot of animated adult cartoon shows.For the main qustion. I don't think that a show is better just because it's anime. I like it based on it's qualities. I don't give a poo, even if its anime, if the characters suck, the plot doesn't advance, and there is no character developement.Besides, there is probabley a lot of pooty anime, a lot. Anime that is boring and unoriginal. The reason why we don't know about it is because there is no fanbase that would bother translating it (Or company buying the rights to it), because it's so bad.So stop thinking anime is god's gift to humanity.P.S. If you write the S. Word, it shows up as poo. That's funny.

anime is have more choice story and most of them is adapted from their culture that makes them interestingand their sketch are great (the author) :)but american cartoon is really irritated, most of story only about to save the world and make people getting bored with this story line, they're too monotone
