Mario Kart 64 was much more innovational than the DS was. The DS is just a portable copy of 64 pretty much. The DS version though had a much greater variety of courses (even though I miss most of the 64 courses) and the challenges were pretty fun too. This all isnt even to mention the online playability, which was..... pretty cool but should have been expanded to include chatting, a better friend system, and more courses.

its really hard to say casue one is a hand held and the other is a consel. they others have said their are older lvls in the DS. is its really and even match for me

Mario Kart is simply a great series. But noone can argue with the far superior graphics of Mario Kart DS. It's a great game.

I used to like the 64 version better, but now I like the DS version better. The DS version just feels more... polished. And it's got a great track variety!

mario kart DS is better than mario kart 64, but Super Mario Kart is still better than both of them. Hopefully Nintendo will use the VC and the Wii connect 24 to let you play Super Mario Kart online.

Mario Kart DS! I can take it anywhere and play online via WFC. :(But I've also seen mario kart in the arcade, it made my heart skip a beat.

Mario Kart Ds, the N64 one seems quite fast compared to the Ds one.
