this is dumb. No point arguing with ignorant people. There is no ultimate right or wrong here, because that is confined to a person's beliefs. No one knows how yesterday ended, or how will tomorow be... the most important thing is,We humans have the right to stand for ourselves, regardless of our origins. We are here today, standing tall, n marching forward!!!Peace~

I just chose this part of your argument to challenge, but couldn't the reason that these creatures have not evolved be that they have had no reason? The honeybee fits perfectly in its enviroment, dragonflies are well suited to the places they inhabit, and most other creatures that haven't evolved are doing well where they are. The concept of evolution is based on change to suit your enviroment, so if the animals don't have a reason to change, why should they?

well a honey bee and an ant would take much longer to evolve than the average mammal as they only ever mate once before they make a nest and never mate again

I'm sorry, but if you don't believe that evolution is fact, you're a moron and you're kidding yourself. You might as well say that the earth is flat and that it revolves around the sun.

I believe in evolution not just because of the substantial fossil record, but also because we can see it happening right now. Look at animal breeding - dogs, cats, pigeons, horses, whatever, people are coming up with new breeds by applying the same concepts behind evolution. All you have to do is make animals with certain traits breed with each other. People do it by separating out the animals undesirable traits, and nature does it by killing off those with undesirable traits. Either evolution is real or animal breeders are magicians, and I'm not really a big believer in the latter.

Actually, that's not evolution. That's selective breeding. Evolution is the idea that every living being on this planet evolved from a common ancestor.

How can you not be sure? There's overwhelming evidence that all points to one conclusion: everything evolved from a common ancestor. If you wish to view some of this evidence I will happily oblige.

theere are tons of fossils and junk like that out htere that either have been destroyed or just not found yet. There is still alot left in the world to be found, who knows maybe one day we will find god sitting a cave on an uncharted island. There are marine life deep in the ocean that people have yet to discover just because we cant go down that deep.

And it's not just fossils that give us evidence of evolution. There's plenty of living evidence for evolution, or at least against intelligent design. You see, if everything on this planet were intelligently designed, we wouldn't see redundancies in species of animals. Whales wouldn't grow teeth during their fetal stages just to absorb them as adults. We wouldn't see flightless birds. There wouldn't be snakes with pelvises. If we were optimally designed, our digestive system and our respiratory system wouldn't share parts. There are plenty of things that make perfect sense with evolution that make absolutely no sense with Intelligent Design.

Evolution DOES exsist! It's how God created us! Without evolution, we wouldn't be able to survive.

I'd say that God has to do with evolution. What i mean is he could have caused the big bang to happen, and he could make evolution occur. and i agree with M1551n9n0.

Pass out copies of "Letter to a Christian Nation" by Sam Harris, and see if any of them realize how retarded they are. Honestly, how could anyone not accept this as fact?

Actually, there's overwhelming evidence that all points to evolution. I actually think that it's the religious fundamentalists that are scared that this could be true. We can predict and verify things utilizing the theory of evolution, just like how we can predict and verify things using the theory of gravity. I think people who discredit evolution just don't understand it.

Heres something interesting. My 8th grade Science teacher is also a Sister (nun), and when we reached the chapter of the book that talked about evolution, I asked her if she was an evolutionist or a creationist. She told me she was both. She said she believed God created what we have evolved into today.
