#5041861 Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 Rom (US)

Posted by Guest on 12 October 2012 - 08:02 PM

Oh blast, most of the links appear to be down again. Except for the white ap patched. I'm sure it will be deleted soon enough however. I wanted to thank the contributor's for their dedication and providing the means to play. Rather it is an actual nintendo affiliate, or simply a user notifying these hosting sites, a word of warning, when I googled "Pokemon Black 2 Rom" this was the first result. Though perhaps as a means of testing, if I have not overlooked it, would be to change the name of the folder all together to something less noticeable(being that I can't seem to use the word i n c o n s p i c u o u s without a banner appearing). Thanks again , cheers!

#5003606 guys waz up

Posted by Ragamuffin on 25 March 2012 - 02:02 AM

Not being sarcastic at all.The SC is only 'interesting' in comparison to the rest of the site-- all the other sections of DG are either ghost towns or idiot dens, mostly the former.Yeah, you can have actual conversations there and such, but given that the same in-jokes have been recycled umpteen times, what's the point anymore? Maybe it's because I remember it as being a far more active place inhabited by more diverse personalities that I see it this way.

#4989328 What difference, if any, does God's existence make to the meaning and val...

Posted by Guest on 05 February 2012 - 01:31 AM

I'd been raised on the idea that there is no god, and the meaning of life is to experience as much as you can, help those you care about, and try to improve the lives of the less fortunate. I don't think you need god to tell you to be kind to others or to try and change the world for the better. Once you're gone you're gone, and all that's left is the things you did for others. Kind of cheesy but I do believe in the pay it forward mentality in working towards a better world for all.

#4991366 Education a public good?

Posted by Ragamuffin on 13 February 2012 - 07:09 AM

In the states, the Department of Education is unconstitutional (like the IRS, FBI, CIA, war on drugs/terror etc.). The government has zero authority in regards to education and back before this was put into place, virtually every teacher was against it because they knew what would happen. Nowadays, American kids display their ignorance with pride. No child left behind, indeed. We went from being the most educated country in the world to being LESS educated than several third world nations, not to mention the fact that the public school curriculum has become little more than globalist propaganda. Regardless of what most Republicans say, they're not interested in getting rid of it, because both parties are the same, with a few notable exceptions. The public education system in America is a joke. It also happens to be the tenth plank of the Communist Manifesto. Remember when America was anti-communist? Yeah, neither do I.

#4985158 Teenage Mothers

Posted by Yuto on 13 January 2012 - 03:51 AM

You know, there are other reasons why a pregnancy can occur. Abstinence doesn't work in the face of force. Back on topic. My opinion on this topic has varied in the last 2 years. I have met good people who have already pushed 2 of them out by 18. I have also met clueless people who tried to conceive one. I have met violent people who already have one. I have met a person who had a one nighter and bravely decided to keep the baby, and another who left after having sex with a girl. I have not met people who have been raped/have raped, but I know there are many out there who also decide to keep the baby. So, what is my opinion? Well, my general opinion is that being a parent at that young of an age is not ideal (basically, it's a no) because how can I expect someone so young who still has so much to learn (including responsibility) to be able to raise another life? And I think that, in general, you see a high failure rate with teenage parents which is why there is a negative stigma around teenage parents. HOWEVER, that is not being fair to specific couples who are doing fine so my general opinion should not apply to you, a teenage mother or father, specifically. As you can see here, my thoughts on this varies between people. The young couple who conceived 2 babies are good parents, so what's the problem there? I just hope that they can keep it up because raising a baby is very timely and so so costly ... I can only imagine the obstacles they will face. The clueless ones I hope have no babies, because that precious life will be given away in less than a month's time after being conceived. The clueless first need to learn how to help themselves before they can nurture another. I hope those who have trouble with their anger and have violent tendencies/urges are willing to get the therapy they need to be able to raise their child properly (or before conceiving the child if possible). Otherwise I hope they either get supervised visits with the child, or the child is taken by a child welfare agency and given to a proper home (I can only hope this happens, but who knows how many lives are screwed over despite EITHER way). Again, they need to help themselves before they can even possibly begin to nurture a life. To those who decided to keep the baby after a rape or a one nighter and are doing their best to take care of the baby, I hope that it goes well. To the person who left after the one nighter, well, there's nothing much to say. Even this situation has other sub-situations. With that said, there are many other situations which I can comment on. I have seen teenage mothers who carelessly stroll around their babies in the carriage, texting or not. That's right, who cares about that big pot hole in the the sidewalk? Who cares if it's raining and you're hogging the umbrella and don't want to get wet just to have that baby sheltered as well? Who cares if you're crossing the street on a RED LIGHT and texting as well? I have also seen, right in front of me, these teenage mothers telling their baby to "shut up" when s/he cries. I see these instances more than I do a teenage father strolling his baby in a beat up (but safe) giving so much love to his child. So I can see why there is a stereotype - it comes from these very instances and more. But people should also understand that there are exceptions and certain situations that should not be frowned upon.

Ya sorry to say but that is bull****, it's not hard to force someone off you either =Pwhy do you think women are advised to learn self defense or carry pepper spray, to avoid injury or avoid a whole problem with rape or any other forced acts

#4880512 Teenage Mothers

Posted by Guest on 23 October 2010 - 06:28 PM

I actually have a friend who had a child at the age of 15. She was a really good friend of mine and I wasn't really expecting her to be on that kind of situation. Great pressure she bears on her shoulders. You see, her family didn't exactly wanted the child's father to be with her and let them live together and be married someday. As a matter of fact I'm quite glad they wouldn't approve of him as they are still young to be married and frankly, I don't expect them to survive marriage. They'll just want to be separated with each other after a couple of years. The guy's quite immature and I know that for a fact as I also have great knowledge about him.Anyway, She is my friend and although I disapproved of what her actions came to be, We got nothing else to do. The deed has been done. Yes, she did made a huge mistake by doing such an act but I know that she is done with regretting. I mean, every body can make a mistake. It might not be about having a child at an early age but we know that we learned something from it and she did. At the end of the day, Acceptance is always the key to having a peaceful life. She became a mother in such an early age but let's look at the bright side: She got herself a kid that she loves, She's still alive, She learned her lesson and she accepted her consequences, she'll have an early training to motherhood so that she wouldn't have trouble in the future anymore and she has an ever supporting family alongside with her. She's still lucky. Now I know not every teenage mom is as lucky as she is but I know that there is still something that made them keep their lives going and that is what's important. They just have to accept things as they are although acceptance is not as easy at it sounds. They have to face their consequences and let's help them. Let's help them by not dragging them down and make them dwell by their mistakes/ unfortunate events that took place in their lives. Let's help them realize their wrong doing or in other cases, (like those who were mercilessly raped) make them realize that everything in this world happens for a reason and make them stand firm to manage their lives.POINTS were awarded for this post by Molh
