Super Mario RPG was the first and greatest start of the Mario based RPGs.Paper Mario was an interesting change in direction of design with use of 2-D beings on a 3-D environment as well as a different battle system.Mario and Luigi was a mix of Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario with some of its own unique concepts as well as Luigi being playable in the RPG series.I picked Paper Mario as my favorite because I find the design style much more interesting for some reason although I still enjoyed the others as well.
