#4943374 Hello! Please read this first.

Welcome to DGEmu! We hope you have a great stay here. To best enjoy the place there are a few things you should take note of:

1. Read and follow the Rules: And not just the Rules, but all the Forum Rules & Guidelines too. This is one of those forums where following the rules is actually important. It takes some time to read through, but it will keep you out of "trouble" and will answer the questions you'll invariably have about this place, including stuff about DPs.

2. Post in the correct (sub) forum. Read the pinned topics before you post. Make sure you don't post a topic unless it hasn't been done before. Look around the place a bit before you post, to get a feel for what sort of things belong where. Once you get to the correct place read the announcements and pinned topics, for the same reasons as point #1. Don't make a new topic if there's already an existing topic for it. Just post in the old topic, even if it's quite old ("necro-posting" is okay for discussion threads). Find old topics using Ctrl+F (the Search function is down) and search a few pages back before making your topic.

3. You might get GPs deducted, or even get Warned, for things you didn't know about. Especially if you didn't read the rules/FAQs/pinned topics. This is normal. When I was new I got Warned too, until I figured out how the rules work. Just learn from your mistakes and move on. Nothing will happen to you, unless you don't listen to the warnings made by the mods. If you break the rules repeatedly despite being warned about it you're gone, of course. Otherwise you still can stick around and enjoy yourself.

4. And that's it. Have fun!

#5014435 GBA speed too fast?

Posted by Bikkin on 08 May 2012 - 11:02 PM

Forgive me if I do this wrong. It's been a few years (I think) since I posted in the forums and they look different from what I remember. I couldn't find a search feature anymore.

I am having a problem with my GBA emulator. Usually the problem is people have problem with their games being too slow, but my VisualBoyAdvanced is actually playing games too fast. Is there a way to slow down the emulator? The slowest speed I've seen is about 600% and this is preventing me from playing certain games.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks. I think I found what you were talking about. It slowed it down some but it's still over 300%. I'm not sure if that's normal or not for this game.

Edit: Found something else in that spot that let me bring it down to 100%. Thanks again

You found the option I see but I'll also just mention that in that menu option you can also select a custom speed if required, so if you are playing a game that requires fast moves and such but you want more time you can slow it down :P
