This thread is going to be used to express my goals for this forum.

Myself and the rest of the staff at DGEMU.COM, like to see this site as a community. I intend to host semi regular official tournaments which will have various potential rewards depending upon what the winners want. I am fairly open minded when it comes to potential rewards. In order to help in this massive endeavor I will be looking for a group of members to help me run official tournaments as well as facilitate members in any that they wish to run themselves. All non staff organized tournaments will be considered unofficial tournaments and will be done purely for fun.

If there is a game which you would like to see us host a tournament for don't be afraid to make a thread asking for it. If we have enough of a demand then I will see what I can do to organize a tournament. The big thing to remember is that all of this is for you the members. It is my goal and my desire to see everyone get to know each other better and possibly form friendships which can transcend a forum.

General Guidelines for tournaments

-Do not exploit glitches in games.
-Please show the other people participating in the tournament respect. (Essentially what I mean by this is don't whine or name call if someone else beats you)
-Just have fun.

That is it for my guidelines. The guideline section of this thread might be amended at anytime once I get a better picture of what our tournaments will be like.

Note-I am still looking for someone to help me with Wii and PS3 tournaments, if you might be interested please send me a pm.

Please reply to this thread if you are interested in doing a SF4 tournament.

Naturally this one would come up, and of course I for one am willing to play. Ah yes important note, for any tournament, please don't rule yourself out if you don't own a copy of the game anymore (like if your disc broke, sold, etc.) there is always the wonders of blockbuster friends.

So after going to the Video Games Live concert last night in Fort Worth (which was AMAZING by the way) and participating in the Guitar Hero tournament there, I'm now itching to get a tourney set up over XBox Live in World Tour!

Just answer the poll and after a few days I'll see who wants to play, and based on how many entries there are, I'll set up rules and regulations and such.

So...anyone interested? =]

If a Gears 2 Tournament was held by the site how many of you would participate, naturally I'm up for it.

Idk if it would be a single instrument tourney or a full band one, but either way.

I'm sure I could organize one if you all wanted one.

with odst coming out late september, im just interested if people would acually play firefight tournaments, so like you team up with your friends and see how far you get and whichever team gets the furthest wins

In the near future I will be hosting some xbox live tournaments for DGEMU members. My question to you all, what type of games do you want the tournaments to be? So far I am thinking SF4 SC4 Halo3 and DOA4 since they will allow us to view the matches. These tournaments will have DPs rewards for 1-3 place.

In case you guys missed my other thread in the competitions forum. I am going to be hosting xbox live tournaments. The winner of these tournaments will receive DPs as their prize. Hello guys, I was wondering if we could evr have a GUilty Gear X2 Reload Competition, from the XBox live market. This game can be bought for ~$5.00 so I was wondering if anyone could rack up a few bucks and start a tournament. Also, this would just be for fun, no benefits included except naming yourself Guilty Gear Champion of DGEmu! So whaddya say, wanna play?
