Game Score: 7/10

Adventure Island, a GB game with not much special add-ons, but it sure is addictive.

Because it has no special features this game is plain simple: You're a island boy who can throw hammers or ride a skateboard/monsters etc. Just kill all what you see, no thinking just whack them with some hammers.

Graphics (GB Style): 6/10

Even for the GB the graphics aren't that great.

Music: 8/10

The funny sounds and island music are really possible of leaving you with a smile.

Gameplay: 7.5/10

It's so simple, you don't even have to think just WHACK.

Story: 3/10

The story really is a shame...you just hop around some islands and kill. No specific storyline, and not original either.

I own this game not as a ROM but as a real catridge. I'm 16 years old now and last played this game when I was about 8 years old. I managed to find the catridge not too long ago and dumped it into my GBASP. Well I played the game again for several days..the songs the bosses everything is so simple, but addictive.

Conclusion:

This game is real fun when you have nothing to do and need to kill time. Just start playing and before you know it you are several hours further. Altough you can kill some time with this game there are better ones around. But this doesn't mean this game can be left out.
