Yu-Gi-Oh! - The Sacred Cards: Reviews

Game Score: 6/10

Storyline:You are good friend of Yugi,Joey(two characters from an anime called "Yu-gi-oh!"),you have your own deck(almost all characters will have their own decks)all 3 of you have entered a Battle City tournament which was created by Kaiba(Yugi's dueling rival). The tournament's goal is to declare the true "King of Games"(the master of duel monsters), but there is an evil character called Marik who wants to collect the 3 Egyptian God cards(the strongest duel monster cards, the cards have incredible power) and rule the world. The story is much like in the anime, there are some additional characters though, they aren't very important they are mostly for training before the real challengers. You fight the duelists Joey and Yugi fought in the anime. You often times have to make desicions , but they don't affect the game much.
The worst thing in the storyline are the actual cards, many cards in the game don't have the effects and the amount of stars that the original cards have, plus the shortage of spell and trap cards. The actual cards make the game intresting so these are big minuses.

Graphics:For a GBA platform game they are avarage(can't say they are bad and can't say that they are good). Most of the characters you will meet are very small copies of themselves, when you will see the character's original look image you may notice that some parts of the character don't look similar to the small version's.
The minature card graphics are poor , but the larger versions are very well done.

Gameplay:
The movement of you character is easy, but it may be hard to figure out how to get from point A to point B, so it will still occupied for some time. The dueling system is decent, but it coud be better.

Sound:Just normal sounds and music that are in most Yugioh games, the sound doesn't really shine in any area.

Recommendation:
If you are a real Yugioh fan and you want to try out this game, I recommend renting it , but not buying it(it's not really worth buying).
