Game Score: 7/10

As soon as the game starts the whole thing screams quality. You can tell a lot of people have worked really hard on this title straight from the title screen.
But things seem to get a bit bumpy very early into the game. After your first fight with some almost stationary insects you immediatly start to question whether the battle system will become extremely annoying in the future. But as such thoughts float around the first boss appears and the battle system works excellent.

That's just how this game is. The bosses play amazingly well but normal enemy battles seem very poor. You attacks are always to weak and something will always hit you before a large group of the evil doers is dead. The main character (damn forgot her name) also seems to run way too fast. The speed is hamndy at bosses but makes hitting group of small annoying enemies a real choir. Holding a button or double tapping to run would have made the gameplay so much better and seems like something so obvious to do.

The graphics look stunning though, and if you manage to get past the poor combat system, they will really keep you going. Fighting to see the next big Scurge boss, or a new beautifully coloured enviroment. As an adventure game is plays extremely well but is let down by a poor battle system, you can't even punch when you get close enough - something even arcade games like Metal Slug allow you to do.

At the end of the day I am sure that this game will cause a split audiance. Those who fall in love with it, and those who know it has the making of a great game in it, yet also know it has serious faults. If there's ever been a game worth downloading to "try before you buy" (not just try...) this is defiently it.
