Plot
Lets start by explaining the story of SpiderMan: Battle for New York. The game is based in the Ultimate Spiderman universe. The story revolves around the events that occur between the Green Goblin and Spiderman. Norman Osborn has just seen the effects of what his drug named "OZ" can do. He has seen that his miracle drug, mixed with the DNA of a spider, has resulted in the superhero we all know and love. Norman then wonders, if somone injected with Oz along with the DNA of a spider can becom Spiderman, what will happen if someone was to inject OZ along with their own DNA.
Norman then sets up an experiment to answer his question, and injects himself with OZ. Midway through it goes horribly wrong, and Norman emerges as a large green goblin( similar to "The Hulk"). The goblin goes mad and starts rampaging throughout the city. It is up to Spiderman to stop this menace and bring peace to New York.

Gameplay
One of the best aspects of Battle for New York is that you can play as both the villian and the hero (much like in "Ultimate Spiderman").
The goblin side of the story I thought was very dissapointing as it is just a beat em' up challenge. He was also very hard to controll as he very large and choppy.
But the Spiderman side of the game was a bit more fun to play as you can webzip and swing around aswell as accomplish missions and beat up bad guys.

Graphics
This was the largest factors of the game that turned me off. Considering its a GBA instead of using old fashoined sprites this game has opted to try and get a 3-D-ish look with the main characters, so it can try and represent the Playstation version of Ultimate Spiderman.
The graphics in the cutscenes were great but in the in-game graphics were horrible.

Sound
I don't have to much to say about sound. It wasn't very good, but it wasn't very bad either.

Personal Response
I would download the game just for a little amusement but I wouldn't stick to the game for too long.
